Oct 18, 2014 3:13 PM in response to greatgatorufby Lag0110,I have the same problem after upgrading to Yosemite. I'm running an early 2014 MacBook Pro Retina. No maps show up, and it just shows a blank grid... like graph paper. I tried searching for an address, and it didn't find any results, either. Just completely broken!

Oct 19, 2014 12:47 PM in response to applewarmby tim8alete,I previously replied with the same problem for me. I will add this: After installing I removed all the unnecessary language keeping english and american english. Got a couple of gigabytes removed. Removed some other not needed stuff using an app from the store. Anybody do anything like that?

Oct 19, 2014 12:51 PM in response to greatgatorufby Lag0110,Magically, it's working for me now. I have changed or modified nothing. I had restarted since my last attempt at using the program, though. I'm sure it's a bug of some sort... or maybe their maps server being unavailable?

Oct 19, 2014 1:25 PM in response to Lag0110by applewarm,Good, so it's probably some issue or bug on their part.
I will try and wait, or maybe restart...see if I can get it to work.

Oct 19, 2014 1:41 PM in response to greatgatorufby applewarm,Have you tried restarting your computer? It did the trick for me. First time I restarted it after installing Yosemite, maps started working!

Oct 19, 2014 1:42 PM in response to Lag0110by applewarm,It's the restart, not the cleaning. I restarted and now they work!
RESTART PEOPLE!

Oct 20, 2014 10:15 AM in response to applewarmby Eric Thompson,I have tried restarting. Maps will show up but does nothing when I tell it to go to my current location. Google maps also says it is unable to find current location.

Oct 22, 2014 1:24 PM in response to Eric Thompsonby Usarfireman,I had this problem found a workaround I think, tried sending an error report through maps to Apple but said I had no interent connection even though I did, so I went into network preferences, on my network went into TCP and renewed lease maps worked instantly after.
-
Oct 28, 2014 6:53 AM in response to Usarfiremanby PATRICKMELE,The TCP renewal does not work This map issue has been around since Mavericks and Apple has not patched the problem. Its not an internet issue, it's the App itself fails to recognize current location. Re-start fixes the problem only temporarily and will return after a couple of uses of MAPS
