Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
Please take a look at the following linked article for information on deleting a pass.
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5483
Adjusting pass settings
Tap the info icon to see settings and additional information on the pass.
From the info screen, you can:
- Delete passes
- "Pull to refresh" to update the pass
- Open or install the app related to that pass
- Configure settings:
- Automatic Updates
- Show on Lock Screen
Have a great day,
Joe

Sep 12, 2014 9:38 AM in response to joe_73by IanMon,Thanks for replying Joe,
This does not solve the problem for me unfortunately. I know how to delete individual passes as described in your instructions above, but what I am looking for is a way to delete multiple passes of the same type of pass e.g.boarding passes without having to individually go into each pass, open up the info tab, press delete. I have over 100 old boarding passes and while the perfect fix would be for passbook to automatically delete once the boarding pass date has expired I feel this is a bridge too far for developers.
I am talking about British Airways boarding passes that appear as individual passes, other airlines that I use, like City Jet, hold their boarding passes in a single container which at least make it more manageable.

Oct 20, 2014 1:07 PM in response to joe_73by _Subtractive,I have the same issue. Too many boarding passes to delete, it would take me a solid hour. I was going to setup apple pay but with all that clutter it doesn't seem practical to use the app.
