Q: Printing on Yosemite is anyone haveing problems?

II've done the install of Yosemit, but I'm now unable to print on either of my printers, all the software for the printers are uptodate, just wondered if anyone else has had this problem and how did you rectify it?

many thanks

iMac, OS X Yosemite (10.10)

I am seeing that anybody that has Kodak printers may be out of

luck. With the reading I've been doing, and the fact that Kodak stopped making printers, that no updated drivers for Yosemite wil be released. Guess time to buy a new printer

Had the same issue with my Epson Artisan 730 printer.  Went to the Epson website for a new driver - they actually had one ready for Yosemite.  Downloaded and installed.  everything now works.

Canon has updated their Laser Printer Driver as of today (10/20/14).  After downloading the update, and installing it, I restarted, and now the printer is working fine.

Yes, or you could try removing the offending plugin from /Library/Printers/Sharp.

No, no answers other than that Kodak has to release an updated driver. Which is unlikely since they aren't in the printer business anymore. You can revert to 10.9 or buy another printer. Sorry.

Based on other posts here about Rico, this is probably a filter failure that needs to be addressed by Ricoh.

Having the same... HP 5510 WiFi Printer not detected by "Adding Printer". Works well with "IP Printer Configuration". Strangely enough all this worked OK just after upgrading to Yosemite ! No way anymore today. Thank for quick help. PR.

I'm having a problem with printing to a Samsung SCX-6345.  When I try to add printer it doesn't appear. MacBook Pro, just updated to Yosemite on the weekend and already regretting it big time.

I contacted tech support and got information that Canon Japanese side didn't realize new driver.

Now I use printing from old laptop IBM ThinkPad.

Using Canon MG3260 - directly connected to iMac and used by MacBookPro and MacBook Air (wifi). Just days before Yosemite delivery, Apple Store delivered a Cannon printer upgrade. Clearly made no difference.

It's was printing brilliantly for 2 days for all machines. Then suddenly wifi-connected MacBooks "unable to locate printer".

I dummied up a printer2 - transferred queued-up/blocked print jobs - worked for 12 hours. Now that has failed as well.
