Oct 20, 2014 5:38 PM in response to billcurrie1983by danipersing,★HelpfulYes, I was double charged at Walgreens. I used my B of A debit card on my iPhone 6. At the time of the transaction, I used Touch ID to verify my purchase, then Walgreens pin-pad asked me for my PIN number (I entered it and the transaction proceeded normally). I'm not sure if entering my PIN was my mistake or not. Anyway, called Bank of America and the customer service representatives didn't even know what Apple Pay was! They kept asking me "how many times did you swipe your card?" They also said that my PIN number was entered twice, 20 seconds apart (I only typed in the PIN once). B of A can't do anything until both transactions actually post to my account. Very frustrating experience so far!

Oct 20, 2014 5:47 PM in response to danipersingby billcurrie1983,I Used BoA debit too. Same thing I had to enter my pin too. Called BoA and had me on hold to talk to Apple Pay support
while I waited. Appreciated the 30 mins of time of BoA customer specialist but I too have to wait until the transaction post. And
yes my BoA account went negative. Yay. We will see what happens when I call tomm

Oct 21, 2014 6:53 AM in response to billcurrie1983by Phospho,Same here yesterday, BofA Debit Card, entered the Pin! Did anyone try if not entering the Pin helps? probably Touch ID = Pin, do we need to tell the cashier or select credit ?

Oct 21, 2014 8:23 AM in response to Phosphoby danipersing,I'm guessing that's the error, that entering the PIN after using the Touch ID to verify the purchase somehow created 2 transactions (although, I don't remember seeing an option for credit/debit). I just got off the phone with Bank of America, and they are disputing my charge as a "posting error." The gentleman I spoke with today said I was the second person he's talked to with a double posting to their account using "this type of machine" (Apple pay). Its a little surprising to me that none of the Bank of America representatives I talked to seemed to understand what Apple Pay is. Again, today, he asked me "how many times did you swipe your card?"

Oct 21, 2014 8:47 AM in response to danipersingby Phospho, the Question remains How to solve it then. If we don't enter the pin, the store won't give us the product, not get a receipt etc. For now I will not use apple pay for obvious reasons. Is this a POS problem, Apple or BofA specific? I would guess BofA requiring a pin for authorization. Right now 3 different stores, same issue: BJ, Walgreens and whole foods

Oct 21, 2014 8:57 AM in response to billcurrie1983by Phospho,That is annoying! BoA said no further action required, balance will be available tomorrow... They should also invest in more training regarding apple pay if they are participating from the beginning.

Oct 21, 2014 10:23 AM in response to billcurrie1983by danipersing,That's ridiculous. I would call B of A back and make sure they take care of this. The representative I spoke with this morning did ask if I had contacted Walgreens, but I told him no. When I called B of A yesterday, they just said to call back once both transactions have posted.
For a bank that is listed as a "participating bank" on Apple's website, they sure don't know what's happening!

Oct 21, 2014 10:46 AM in response to danipersingby Phospho,I Think the PIN is the error, just went to Macy's and bought a coke zero, no PIN, no hustle, only one charge on my account afterwards... So whenever it asks for your PIN just .. Ehm... say you paid already?

Oct 21, 2014 11:07 AM in response to monte1by Phospho,Maybe they resolved the issue, nonetheless, entering the PIN was really annoying, especially because with small purchases you usually don't have to enter your pin, so big fail on the time saving here...
