Oct 10, 2014 2:16 AM in response to alanfromwickfordby abhivish,Now that you mention it, looks like thats what did the trick for me. As part of many things, I also reset my router to factory settings and forgot to rename the SSID to what it was earlier ! So inadvertently, the issue got resolved.
I still had to power on/off my router twice in the last 2 weeks. However thats better than everytime !
However, I think Safari is still very buggy. If I load a site, the spinning circle never stops, even though the page has fully loaded. Or even if I close the page and open a fresh blank page, the little circle is still spinning on the blank page ! It never stops.

Oct 10, 2014 6:07 AM in response to Raptor599by johnfromoregonia,raptor599,
So, Install IOS 8 and it causes router's radios to go bad? Maybe you should check out the microwave. Just being a wise guy, but this is definitely not the problem. Installing any wireless device will not make a router go bad. Everything wireless in my house (more than 20 devices) work just fine. THree IOS 8 devices do not and I am not alone.

Oct 20, 2014 11:39 AM in response to johnfromoregoniaby John369,Just updated to IOS 8.1 on one iPad Air and one iPhone 5. I have swapped back to 5Ghz WiFi on both devices for first time in four weeks, so far so good! Download speed 127.76 Mbps, Upload 11.88 Mbps ,Ping 12ms, those results are significantly better than I was getting on 2.4Ghz. Will report back if I experiance any issues.

Oct 20, 2014 11:00 PM in response to DocRoxAllby johnfromoregonia,I Updated my iPad Air, Mini and iPhone 5 To 8.1. I still have the same wifi problem only on Apple IOS 8 devices. IPad 2 with IOS 7 is fine, as is Nexus 7 and other devices. Safari begins to load page (or it appears so) with the progress bar extending about 1 cm, then the twirling circle goes until the page load fails. This has been the same since the first IOS 8 update. Turning wifi off, then on allows the pages to load. Similar for Facebook, Google News, email and everything else, just stalls. This can be when first turning device on or after things are working for a while, but then stop working. same for all devices, same cure. Tried all the suggested "fixes" like resetting network settings. No different than turning wifi off and on.
Getting really OLD!

Oct 20, 2014 11:17 PM in response to johnfromoregoniaby getstu,Hello, Did you try holding down the home button and the power button at the same time which should force hardware reset, Apple logo with progress bar below appears on the screen for a bit then reboots to your desktop. Then try forgetting network and reset all settings, not just network settings, and then re log into your network. This is what I had to do and mine has been pretty solid so far regarding wifi stability. Best, Stu

At the risk of asking some really dumb questions (because I'm new to this thread and haven't read the complete history):
Does this only happen in Safari, or are other apps affected at the same time? For example, can the Apple Mail app send or receive mail when Safari can't load web pages?
Does this happen on other wi-fi networks besides your home network? For example, do you experience the same issue on the same devices (with the same version of iOS) at work/school, at a friend's house or on a public wi-fi network like you'd find at Starbucks, McDonald's, etc. after accepting the terms & conditions?

Oct 22, 2014 6:11 PM in response to ddkilzerby johnfromoregonia,This happens on all apps that use the Internet. It happens, so far, with any wifi I have accessed. It happens on my iPad Air, iPhone 5, and iPad Mini. Turning wifi off then on, brings it back to life.

Oct 23, 2014 2:01 AM in response to johnfromoregoniaby John369,Rporting back from IOS 8.1 update on 20th Oct. No wifi problems encountered, chose 5GHZ signal as soon as update completed on iPad Air and iPhone 5. No problems running any Apps, Safari or Apple Airport Express (main setup for music streaming). If you read my previous posts you will see I had to run on 2.4GHZ signal from initial IOS 8.0 update, until Monday. Now updated all other Apple devices, with no wifi problems at all. The problem with simultaneous dual concurrent networking has been fixed by the recent update.
