Q: Bluetooth audio lag

Just updated (17th.Oct.2014) to OS X Yosemite. Im having trouble with bluetooth connection. There is an audio lag on my bluetooth headphone which progressively gets worse. Im using Sony DR-BTN 200. Is there a temporary solution until they fix it?

P.S. I found others with similar issues as well. Ive tried re-pairing the connection to no avail. Any help would be appreciated.

MacBook Pro, OS X Yosemite (10.10)

this is absolutely ridiculous. i cannot even watch a 3 gb movie in vlc without the entire system slowing down if simply i open a safari blank web page in addition to vlc.. it is deeper than  bluetooth i think cause i disconnected my headphones to test the multiple problems i have since upgrading to Yosemite.

I also have system problems with my icons and when i close out of vlc after a audio/video delay it leaves a shadow window of the program for about 2 seconds after I've closed it. the audio remains playing as well for  the same amount of time the delay was. i am constantly emptying my trash of system cache so i can never get a plain set of circumstances that dont interfere with the problem. my icons look like this

So clearly it's a problem, but i'm wondering if there are others with no bluetooth issues after the upgrade ?

Same BT problem on any video (that continues when i disconnect my Logitech BoomBox and use internal speakers), plus a lot of hiccups in iTunes music.

Using OsX Yosemite (10.10) on a MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Late 2013).

Also interesting if complete reinstall of Yosemite helps to solve this problem. And it would be nice to hear something from Apple about this issue.

Try turning Dashboard to OFF in the Mission Control Settings,

I read on some page that that could help video problems. I now have running: safari with youtube video playing, mail iTunes and a movie in VLC and no delay in video or audio so far.  * never mind the second I typed that delay started but it did take 10 mins to start delay versus every 5 mins. perhaps Dashboard is related somehow?

I think reinstallation will be my next course of action.

Same problem here! Macbook unibody 2008 paired with Harman Kardon Squire through bluetooh.

Sound lag and glichtes from time to time when I make the computer to think a little bit. Opening windows, apps, surfing internet, etc.

It's really annoying this issue. Not solved with a clean installation of Mavericks. I believe Apple has created a new api for audio...

On the other hand. the system looks not so bad and is faster. But if this continue like this I will go back to Mavericks within one week and lets see.

I was wondering as well  - should my e-mail notifications be appearing even if I dont have [apple's] Mail application open all the time? I seem to remember getting notifications I had gotten email before Yosemite. now I need to open my mail program to see if I email. This is related because if I need to keep an application open this will only add to the video problem and audio delay. I need to know when I get my emails.

I been in other forums trying to figure out my problem and was told by someone, after posting my comptuters data report using Etrecheck, I had malware  inside my computer. I have no idea if this could relate to anyone else problem - or mine - but I thought I'd share the page he sent me to.

Checked mine Mac - no malware. Seems like the only malware which affected on bluetooth is OS X Yosemite.
