Q: Creating Apple ID without credit card

Hi,

How can I create an Apple ID to use on Itunes without a credit card?  I want to get free apps for my ipod touch.

I don't want to go through giving my serial number just to contact Apple support.

 

I searched Google for an answer, and many people say an Apple ID can't be made without a credit

card but I know that's not true.  Many people already have.  The closest I've come to making an Apple ID

is clicking on a free app in Itunes, and then I start making an Apple ID account, I click "none" for payment,

and I enter address/name, and when I click next is says "Please contact Itunes support to complete

this transaction."

 

I read the Apple support article "HT2534" and it's not valid based on my experience, because

after I click "none" and fill in name/address, it says to contact "Itunes support" as mentioned above.

 

I won't tether my credit card information to my serial number and iPod because I want to read pdf

files on my iPod with privacy. 

 

When I want to buy apps, I already have an iTunes gift card to make payment, but I can't use it

without an Apple ID.

 

Help.

    I did everything right and see the none selection but i still cant make free US itunes account

    (i live in indonesia) 6 month ago i was able to make and before 6 month ago i was able to make a 3-5 times without any problem

    the problem after i press the create button after payment tab, the red box apper : for assistance bla bla bla

    and since 6 month ago to now i cant make a single us itunes account please help

    I am from Nepal. It need credit card to create new App id. Please help me how can i create a free app id.

    hi. i am using a macbook air and i got it last year (2013). i successfully made an apple account without credit card information. Just today, october 22 2014, my friend asked me if i could make an apple account for her so i tried. i logged out my apple id and i make one for her. But when i did make one for her, the "none" option from the credit card info doesn't appear so i pressed cancel and told her i cant make one anymore because of the credit card info (she doesn't have credit card). When i tried to log in in my account, its says "this apple id has not been used with the app store, please review your account information". and then i did. the none option was still there but it says " a title is required". i don't know what to do please help.Screen Shot 2014-10-23 at 2.21.22 AM.png

    If you have an iDevice (iPod, iPhone, iPad), then go to SETTINGS --> iCloud --> (if signed out), create a Free Apple ID --> go through the steps, and verify the email address by checking your email address.

     

    Once you verify the email address (by following the link sent from an Apple Email), go back to settings, and log in to the "iTunes and App Store". You will then be asked for your TITLE (Salutation Mr, Mrs etc), address, contact number and postal code.

     

    Works for me, and many hundred work colleagues I have helped...

    Try making sure your not logged into a apple id on itunes on a computer and try downloading a free app, then setup a account, and when you get to the credit card spot therer will be a no card option, I've done it many times.

    Sad enough that they force us to submit it - as thus the details always stay in the system! I am so annoyed about this arrogance that I am about to sell my ipdad and iphone to get an android - at least google does not force you to submit your life details when you want to download a free app! This is outrageous!

    do not trust apple company, it is a crazy system, it will force their user to enter always something new, today for creating new apple id we must enter credit card, may tomorrow want us something new, nice feeling? isn't it?

    I have made an apple id and when I sign in with it (in iPhone), there is a message saying: This apple ID has not yet been used in iTunes store. Tap review.

    So, I tap review,and I'm directed to my account setting.after I set the country and agree to the terms and conditions, it goes to billing info section. I cannot add a credit card info as the payment method, so I have bought an iTunes gift card to use. But no matter how many times I enter the code and tap next, I am again in the same page with a message in RED saying: for assistance, contact iTunes support at...!I am really frustrated, confused and tired of this process. Please help me.
