Oct 21, 2014 11:35 AM in response to Lazarus1983by Jaws1200,The site where I found this suggestion is here (had to dig through History on Mobile Safari on my iPhone to find it! ^_^):
(Scroll down to entries by: ShotSkydiver Starbucks Co.)
It would seem the issue does stem from something with the graphics sub-system, as this forum thread also describes (fixing the issue temporarily by "disabling transparency"):
I also had an "Intel Corporation - Graphics Adapter WDDM1.1, Graphics Adapter WDDM1.2, Graphics Adapter WDDM1.3 - Intel(R) Iris(TM) Graphics 5100" Windows Update driver update install today, hoping this would fix the issue, but alas it didn't. However, I was at normal CPU usage before installing the driver (thanks to "Sleep" trick mentioned before), and then back at high CPU usage after the driver was installed (didn't make me reboot the system). Another Sleep cycle brought me back down to normal usage rates, but it would seem something with the Yosemite update (likely some update to the system EFI/BIOS [I know the retinas don't use "BIOS" but some people might not know what EFI is yet...]) likely mucked up something with the graphics in Windows boot-camp.
Anyone specific in Apple Engineering that this should be reported to?

Oct 21, 2014 12:08 PM in response to Jaws1200by Lazarus1983,Hi,
thx alot, im currently reinstalling Maverricks. I´ll report after I´ve finished the installation of Windows 8.1 via Bootcamp.
On the other Macbook Pro (still with Yosemite) the workaround just lasts for 10-15 min. After that period the 2 processes start causing high CPU usage (about 30%) again.
Greetings

Oct 22, 2014 12:20 AM in response to Lazarus1983by zCHIP,You forgot that the EFI has been updated by Yosemite. I think this operation is irreversible.

Oct 22, 2014 1:45 AM in response to zCHIPby Lazarus1983,Hi,
that was not the answer i was hoping to get
I still think the MacbookPro is the best built Laptop on the market, but I need to get Windows running on that thing with a good battery life.
So who has to do the work now? Apple, Intel, Microsoft or someone else?
Greetings

Oct 22, 2014 5:01 AM in response to kondratkby Thart93,Welp, chatted to Apple.
Was advised Apple will not assist with downgrading EFI, refused to acknowledge any issue I'm having, then referred myself to Microsoft.
A clean install of Windows 8.1 + The provided bootcamp drivers = the issue straight away.
How is this a Microsoft Issue. If it's not within OS X, they will not help.
Is the only option to wait for some updated Intel 5100 driver?
Might just be in the market for a Surface Pro 3 now....

Oct 22, 2014 10:04 AM in response to Thart93by Lazarus1983,Well then its just luck if we get a fix or not?
Thats not true, is it? Somebody has to fix it.
I can't believe that Apple or MS aren't still aware of this problem. Up to now three machines (two of my own and one of a friend) have this annoying issue running Windows 8.1 via Bootcamp.
If i´ve the time this evening, i´ll test it once again with a fresh and clean Windows 7 Installation.
If there´s no fix in the foreseeable future, i´ll have to switch back to a native Windows Notebook

Oct 23, 2014 10:18 AM in response to step-2by Lazarus1983,Hi,
i´ll try to contact Apple tomorrow, hopefully they can help.
Anyone tried older bootcamp drivers yet?
i´ve found a site where you can find the software package in a whole.
Maybe this will help?
Or as anybody found a different fix?
Greetings

Oct 24, 2014 12:23 AM in response to Lazarus1983by cawhitworth,Hi;
For what it's worth, I'm seeing the same thing on the new Mac Mini (2.6Ghz standard configuration, Yosemite as standard) with Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. I'm given to understand that the Minis are essentially just MacBook Pros internally, anyway.
For me, it tends to clear up after a reboot, but comes back again after a wake from sleep (or intermittently).
(I'm also seeing a number of other issues - audio/networking not working when waking from sleep - but I assume these are unrelated).
I'll keep an eye on this thread and let you know if I find anything...

Oct 24, 2014 3:49 AM in response to cawhitworthby robhauge,Hello,
Is this problem reported to Apple Support ?
-
Oct 24, 2014 4:01 AM in response to robhaugeby Lazarus1983,Hi,
i´ve researched the Internet and what i´ve found doesn't make me happy...
It seems, that not only our Macs have this issue. The Surface 3 Pro seems to have this problem since July. No fix yet and its the end of October.
I also found a report with the same issue on a HP-Notebook.

This evening i´ll contact Apple Support and ask for help. We will see....
