Oct 22, 2014 7:18 AM in response to Robert36340by mformhals,I'm having the same issues. Our network is a mix of HP and Ricoh printers. Since it was working yesterday (Mavericks) and not today (Yosemite), it seems pretty obvious that this issue is not with the printers. I reset the printing system (twice), added printers by I.P. address. Nothing has worked. The most frustrating part is that I get no errors, it appears as if the print was successful. Very frustrating. This is not a minor issue.

Oct 22, 2014 9:18 AM in response to Robert36340by todcp,In my case my Epson Stylus NX420 wireless printer/scanner dissapeared after installing Yosemite. System Preferences Printers would not show any printers to load.
Just taking a chance I downloaded the newest drivers for my Airport Extreme in Airport Utility program. I had not done this in a long time. Voila. Printer is now recognized and working perfectly.

Oct 22, 2014 2:14 PM in response to Robert36340by JeffElkins,Grrr...same issue with Lexmark x342n. Has worked perfectly since pre-Leopard days or earlier. Connected via IP, pings, "other" OSs print w/o problems. Deleted printer, rebooted re-added printer, no joy. Nothing in the cups error log, it thinks everything is hunky-dory. **** your eyes, Apple!

Oct 22, 2014 2:57 PM in response to JeffElkinsby JeffElkins,I fixed my problem by deleting the Lexmark and setting up a generic IP, PCL printer. Yosemite thinks it's a generic laser printer (which it is) and it's working fine.

Oct 22, 2014 3:30 PM in response to Malcolm Turnerby Popla1000,Since downloading Yosemite my Epson Stylus Photo R1800 won't print - tried uninstalling and reinstalling with no luck . Epson website tells me the drivers are up to date . Managed to print in 'GutenPrint " or what ever that is but print quality is too poor . Any advice ??

Oct 22, 2014 4:07 PM in response to Popla1000by John Blanchard1,You can try deleting your printer, the /Library/Printers/Epson and /Library/Caches/Epson folder, restarting, and then reinstalling.

Oct 23, 2014 3:59 AM in response to Robert36340by JJV70,I updated my MBP 13 to 10.10, at first I couldn't print on my HP Laserjet Pro 400 which is shared with my iMac, the HP 6600 through Airprint still worked. After all tricks offered, I was able to connect to the 400 again, but still couldn't print, "printer s disconnected", and now I cannot connect to the 6600 anymore either....
