Q: Will it ask for my passcode after the erase is complete?

I sold my iPhone and have erased all the content and settings but buyer still asking for Passcode? is that right?

    If you did not remove the device from your iCloud account, then the buyer is experiencing Activation Lock. See this support document for help in removing that. What to do before selling or giving away your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

    No that is not possible, if you had a passcode you would have had to input the passcode on the screen when you choose to erase the iPhone, given that you erased it in the settings menu. If you've erased it in iTunes it could be that Find My iPhone was still active and then the buyer needs your Apple ID credentials.

     

    A way to circumvent this issue is to login on www.icloud.com and erase/delete your iPhone from Find My iPhone. That way Find My iPhone will be disabled on that iPhone and the buyer can activate it during the initial setup.
