Q: Thunderbird Email stopped working with my .ME icloud email out of the blue. Every solution tried! Help!
Guys, I have been an Icloud External IMAP user for many years now without a hitch.
Yesterday, out of the blue Thunderbird said AUTHENTICATION FAILED USERNAME OR PASSWORD INCORRECT.
As of three days ago everything was working fine.
I can login to ICLOUD.COM and check my email just fine with the same username and password. Nothing has changed. I did not change my username or password. I tried 3 other mail clients including OPERA MAIL and Outlook also. They all say AUTHENTICATION FAILED indicating a username or password issue but I assure you that my username and password is 100% correct and working fine on my Iphone 6, my Ipad Air, my ICLOUD.COM site, and my Itunes stores and logins on my computer.
Some please help! It is imperative and work related that I have email on my work PC.
Imap Settings: imap.mail.me.com port 993
Username: dominick32 (without adding my email extension)
My PC experience is Master. Sorry no ego here, I just want to let people know that I am more than capable of technical know how. I used to administrate and manage the entire Long Island Suffolk County Government network including Parks, Civil Service, and Police fiber and ethernet networks , VOIP, and servers.

Dude you are the man!
I Totally forgot that on October 10th apple just revoked all non app specific passwords on imap for people using two step verification.
i Just logged in and fixed it by generating an app specific password for it! Thanks so much!
