Q: iphone 6   verizon shipping delay

A family member of mine nicely waited in line to get me an iPhone 6+ on the release day (Sep,17) and not surprisingly, the store sold out in like 2 hrs.  That same day the store placed an order for my phone, and I suppose I am at the whim of whenever they receive a new shipment of phones.  It's now a month later and no phone, what gives apple?  Has anyone else who ordered from Verizon on the 17th received a 6+, is there any way to track when it might be delivered?

 

My 4S is crapping out on me, it's as if it knows it's going to be replaced soon, so i'd love for this phone to arrive.  Seems Apple doesn't grasp the fundamental aspects of supply and demand?  Surely their market research informed them how hot this phone was going to be...my theory is that this monumental delay/low supply is REALLY about increasing the Apple mystique.

 

Would love to hear from anyone else with a similar experience.

    My phone did crap out on me.  I ordered iPhone on October 13, 2014.  This is so ridiculous.  I WANT MY PHONE!

    Hey guys I ordered my iPhone 6 plus 64GB (gray/blk) on 9/19 online from Verizon, this link was provided w/ my confirmation email, unfortunately since day one my status has read "We have received your order and it is in process". With an expected shipping date of 11/07, hoping to see it a smidge early. I'm having to charge my Droid Razor 3 times a day.     Mine still says nothing.  Im literally switching

    from phone to phone to phone waiting for this dang iPhone 6 plus.  It's literally a bunch of bull.  Im so mad

    verizon's response when i asked about any possible delays since my new iphone 6 was supposed to come today: "oh it's been delayed until 11/14 -- you can take it up with apple if you'd like...we have no control"...i mean really?!

    The whole thing just angers me.  Why put two phones out knowing full well how many iPhone 5's and 5c's are being already used by customers and have not enough to meet fulfillment.  Seems unprofessional and not a company I could put too much faith in.  As for Verizon.....totally lack knowlege in so many respects.  Tired of their crap too!!!!

    Agree w/ the delay on Apple's side. This will be my first iPhone and the only experience I've had w/ the 6 plus is playing around w/ demo in the store. Every iPhone release it seems you always hear "supply / demand" questions come up. Also considering the recent changes to the iPhone. How would you guesstimate so wrong on demand. I honestly believe the first day lines, the expected delivery is done purposefull . To keep ppl talking. I mean how could be so behind on demand in one country (weather it be the US or China) and announce releases in several other countries.

    another post removed...apple. please evaluate the number of people that your backorders have inconvenienced, and please update us or make some changes in the future so that this doesn't happen again.

    @Jgtherrien90 have you seen any progress on your phone? I ordered from verizon on 9/22 and I'm still in the processing status.

    wow you guys deserve the 128 GB...it's apparently available immediately right now, but verizon won't supply it...@jimmyh284 and @jgtherrien90 you guys deserve better service than this!!

    Unfortunately no, still in the same status my orders been in since I received my confirmation email. Expected shipping is 11/07 ordered it 9/19. Was hoping to have it a little earlier. Fingers crossed!

    Thank you, I wouldnt say no to that, but not gonna hold my breath. I will say if this is gonna be my experience on every new future iPhone I'll probably go back to Droids

    I ordered two iPhome 6 Plus phones online through Verizon on 9/15/14. Both 64gb, one black/gray and one silver. Verizon's confirmation via email said the silver would be delivered by 10/28/14 and the black by 11/4. Every time I checked online, the order showed "in processing" and still does. So on 10/22/14 I called Verizon, and after 35 minutes on hold (originally told a 4-5 minute wait), the rep told me that the SHIP date for both phones is 11/4/14, stating the delay is Apple's fault as they (Apple) are only releasing small quantities of the phone to the providers. She had a lot of trouble using the Verizon computer system, talked to herself more than she talked to me, so I wasn't real confident in her info. Today (10/26/14) I stopped by a Verizon corporate store to again inquire about shipping dates, asking why the silver phone had been delayed without any notification from Verizon. Both phones are now estimated to be DELIVERED by 11/4/14. No explanation for the delays in shipping these phones, other than Verizon has no control over shipments. Apple days people are experiencing a 3-4 week delay in shipping when in fact it is closer to 7-8 weeks. is the delay disappointing and aggravating? Yes. If anyone from Verizon or Apple actually pays attention to forum discussions or customer complaints, hopefully future phone launches can be handled with more preparedness, better communication with consumers. and better prepared and educated Verizon employees. Until then, try to stay calm. Not much else we can do..

    @nellie51no -- are you serious?! unreal...did everyone receive the updated email with the following message from verizon: "verizon has not received sufficient supply to ship your order on time" and that the new ship date is "11/10" ??? apple PLEASE PLEASE ADDRESS THIS...you've made @jgtherrien90, @nellie51no and @jimmyh284 wait for over AN ENTIRE MONTH!
