Are you asking about synced events and Faces from iPhoto on your Mac in the Photos.app? There is no way to sort the event and Faces albums in Photos on iOS 8 unfortunately. You are supposed to find all photos in the automatically generated Moments and Years views. Or use the search field.

When photos are synched from from Aperture sort iPhoto for OS X, up until iOS 8 faces that were tagged in photos from the Mac would be listed in alphabetical order (which makes perfect sense). This same list is now essentially randomly ordered, defeating the purpose of transferring faces data across to the iOS device. To make matters worse, Apple haven't seen fit to include tagged faces in spotlight search (but they have included location data....)
