Q: Mail Rules Sync in Yosemite

My mail rules used to sync via iCloud just fine under Mavericks. The mail rules help topic in Yosemite now says that should happen using iCloud Drive; however, it's not working for me. I'm trying to sync my rules from my MBPro to my new Mac Mini. The MBPro was upgrade from Mavericks to Yosemite and the Mac Mini came with Yosemite out of the box. icloud Drive is enabled on both. When using Finder to browse iCloud Drive files, the listings seem to match and changes I make to one show up on the other relatively quickly. Mail is listed in the iCloud System Preferences list of apps that use iCloud Drive on both systems, but there is no Mail folder on iCloud Drive. Am I missing anything? As far as i can tell, everything is set up by the book. It just doesn't work for Mail.

Although this is an old post, I just spent several hours searching and debugging this, including chatting with Apple support, so thought I'd post for others who may be searching.

The cause of non-syncing for me turned out to be a plug-in: Mail Act-On.  Much of its feature set involves adding additional features to rules.  But, when I uninstalled the plugin, my un-synced Mail rules suddenly appeared. The plugin was also interfering with creation of rules via AppleScript.

So, if you have any plugins that affect mail rules, try disabling/uninstalling it (on both machines) and see if your rules sync.
