The itunes and sync cable logos were on the screen when it stopped functioning. the computer just said something along the lines of the program has stopped responding, windows is shutting down the program. attempt again later. Im on the itunes software on my computer as I stated before and If i click on the itunes store button it crashes the program and shuts it down.

Oct 27, 2014 10:51 AM in response to lllaassby sharksgirl04,nothing works. apple is uselsss. gonna have to take it in and they are probably gonna charge me to send it in for repairs when its their dumb software that doesnt work. there was absolutley nothing wrong with it before the update. right now it barely finished extracting the software to do a reset on the itouch and then it said it couldnt find the ipod. so i basically just wasted 3 hours trying to extract the software all for nothing. apple is such a joke. especially since i cant actually contact customer service through chat or email. regret buying an itouch. going back to my mp3 players. its not worth all this hassle.

Nov 7, 2014 4:23 PM in response to sharksgirl04by bohemiandino,Magically, my ipod touch opened this afternoon.
Through two weeks I tried several things like push power button for couple of minutes then push power and home button together for a couple of minutes. I replied this for a few times in a day. Also I put charge for 2 days after I firstly recognized my ipod is black out. But for a long time I didn't try charge for a long time (just half an hour etc.)
I put charge at morning today then when I came home at afternoon ( approximately 12-14 hours) my ipod touch was full charged and opened.
I promised that I will write my solution. I'm not sure this is a solution or not but my ipod touch is alive now.
