Q: i downloaded yosemite to my mac air11" but still it doesn't shown as purchased in apple store

i dowloaded yosemite to my  mac book air . during loading the wifi was cut a few times and continued afterwards and finished downloading. the computer started up on his own after the installation. the screen and the look changed when it opened but weird is yosemite is still is not shown in purchased items in apple store. when i click download button it says os x v 10.0 is already installed in your computer and if you want to upgrade it go to purchase. or if you want to download the full os x installer continue.... can you please let me know if this is normal and if there is something that i should do but didn't do.

i see in the purchased list the same thing about os mavericks. it also shows as download instead of open...

    Hello andacozalp,

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.

I'd like you to check the system information on your Mac to confirm the OS that is currently installed on your MacBook Air.

Finding the version and build number

To find the build number of the version of OS X you have installed, use these steps:

    1. From the Apple menu, choose About This Mac. The version number of OS X you're using appears directly below the words "OS X."
    2. Click the version number to see the specific build number of OS X you are using.

    Mavericks About this Mac window

    Yosemite About This Mac window
    OS X MavericksOS X Yosemite

You can also find your version and build number in System Information.

The version and build number you see depends on the version of OS X installed on your computer. When you install an OS X software update or upgrade, you get a new version and build number. The build number of retail versions of OS X and versions available from Software Update are listed below. The build number of OS X releases included with certain Macs might be different from the one that appears below, even if the version number is the same.

    OS X Yosemite

    OS X Yosemite v10.10Build 14A389

    OS X Mavericks

    OS X Mavericks v10.9.5Build 13F34
    OS X Mavericks v10.9.4Build 13E28
    OS X Mavericks v10.9.3Build 13D65
    OS X Mavericks v10.9.2Build 13C64
    OS X Mavericks v10.9.1Build 13B42
    OS X Mavericks v10.9Build 13A603

OS X Mountain Lion and Lion

    OS X Mountain Lion v10.8.5Build 12F37, 12F45 or 12F2029 (see notes)
    OS X Mountain Lion v10.8.5Build 12F37
    OS X Mountain Lion v10.8.4Build 12E55
    OS X Mountain Lion v10.8.3Build 12D78
    OS X Mountain Lion v10.8.2Build 12C54, 12C60, or 12C2034 (see notes)
    OS X Mountain Lion v10.8.1Build 12B19
    OS X Mountain LionBuild 12A269
    OS X Lion v10.7.5Build 11G56 or 11G63 (see notes)
    OS X Lion v10.7Build 11A511

Finding the OS X version and build information on your Mac

    Take care,

    Alex H.

This is the same on my MacbookPro since Mavericks and now Yosemite in the Mac App Store. I just ignore the issue and since reading your original post I'm curious as well as interested in a fix. If their is one!   THX

    Hi andacozalp,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.

That build indicates you have already upgraded to 10.10.  The installer will always show that it is available for download in your purchases as well, in case you do need to redownload the installer.  Hopefully this clears things up for you.

    Cheers,

    Alex H.

Thanks for the clarify Alex. I get it, its to be used more than once in case of a need to re-install or adding an external thumb drive for safe keeping

hahaha then i was paranoia about the situation. ok thanks i am relaxed now. my mail is not working properly since i downloaded this yosemite. sometimes when i reply to a mail the screen is freezing and then after i slid the mail page and come back again i can continue to write the mail and send it but afterwards the toolbox of the mail is disappearing and not coming back. it is weird. do you also have an idea about that. if not, thanks anyway. i can live with it:)
