Oct 24, 2014 4:29 AM in response to kimbo4591by Werner P.,Woha, now that I have turned off the Sandboxing my M2875FW Samsung driver works now again and shows me even the fill state.
Thanks a lot for the hint. The old drivers now work for me again.

Oct 26, 2014 12:58 AM in response to Robert36340by rssg,I have the same problem. My Canon MG5470 multi-function printer+scanner worked perfectly via WiFi on Mavericks, but doesn't work on Yosemite. I downloaded Canon's drivers and software and have to use their own scanner software since the Mac "Image Capture" application or my favourite Vuescan refuses to recognise the scanner over the network. I somehow managed to get the print function working after deleting and re-installing the printer.
Changing the sandbox options to relaxed or off didn't fix it.

Oct 26, 2014 1:17 AM in response to pberkby GeminiTM2,I had the same with my Epson - just deleted the printer and set it up again - works now! Fixed in 30 secs. Using the basic drivers, not any special software packages.

Oct 26, 2014 12:45 PM in response to Malcolm Turnerby Mosca SS,I'm having exactly the same problem with my Epson CX 7300. It is plugged in my NetGear Ready Nas and everything was just fine on my MACs (1 Pro and 1 Air), after Yosemite it stopped... I'm trying update the driver but in epson site are available just for MAC OS 10.6.X. Any news from Apple? It seems everybody has the same problem with several printers brands

Oct 26, 2014 1:35 PM in response to Robert36340by Cotinus987,Same issue here, but different printer.
My Brother MFC7460DN printer (USB) won't print either since installing Yosemite. Box says 'printer offline'
The Brother website doesn't have driver updates for OS10.10 that I can see
Any ideas gratefully received

Oct 27, 2014 10:38 AM in response to Robert36340by Cee13,I too am having printer problems with Yosemite. BROTHER PRINTERS say they will have an updated driver by the END OF OCTOBER! Meanwhile they suggest:
We recommend contacting Apple about their inbox drivers that can be used temporarily until the 10.10 Brother drivers are released.
What are inbox drivers and has that worked for anyone else?? Thank you.

Oct 27, 2014 10:55 AM in response to Cee13by Cotinus987,I have had the following reply from Brother ... no further forward
At this time, drivers are not available for the 10.10 operating system. The software that will allow the machine to print is currently being updated and is set to be available later this month.
We have included a link directly below that you can click or copy and paste into an Internet browser to better assist with release dates and additional information regarding 10.10 Yosemite.

Oct 27, 2014 11:02 AM in response to Robert36340by JoDev,Hi everyone
I am experiencing the same problem with a Canon netwerk driver. When I try to print in one of the MS Office packet programs like Word, Excel or PowerPoint, the program immediately shuts down with the following error:
Microsoft Error Reporting log version: 2.0

I have updated the MS Office package, but there seems to be no update for the Canon printer C5051. I've tried several of the ideas which were already posted, but unfortunately the printer still doesn't work. Any ideas?
Kind Regards,

Oct 27, 2014 11:06 AM in response to jdewaterby Crazygamer101,Try uninstalling your printer and reinstalling but when you reinstall make sure it is actually using your printers driver and not air print. I know some people that have been having issues with air print.

Oct 27, 2014 11:07 AM in response to JJV70by Malcolm Turner,The solution was posted here by another user a while ago & it worked for me. I just came back to look at it again & say it worked, and it's now been deleted!!!!!
It was to do with relaxing sandbox & CUPS or something.
I have no idea where it's gone.

Oct 27, 2014 12:06 PM in response to pberkby macuser7,You shouldn't have to buy a new printer (unless it's really old and there are no drivers available) - you'd just have the same problem with a new printer. A system update with printer driver updates: turn printer off after the update and then back on to load the driver. After pulling my hair out, I found turning off and then on did the trick. Sounds simplistic. Hope it works for you. Although nowadays, everything seems to update along with the OS X updates...
