Q: iTunes not recognizing that my account is set up with Family Sharing

My Apple ID is clearly set up under Family Sharing in the iCloud settings on my Mac. On other iOS 8 devices it shows up under iCloud setting too, but when I open iTunes on the Mac and go to the Purchased content, it gives me a message that says "This iTunes account is not set up to use Family Sharing" when it clearly is. I've tried signing out and back in, but nothing seems to work.

Thanks

    Hi hblud,

Thanks for the question. Based on what you stated, it seems like you cant  get your content using family sharing. I would recommend that you read this article, it may be able to help you resolve or isolate the issue.

If you don't see your family's shared content

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.

I am having  similar issue. Main account is shared out to my wife and kids. I just gave my wife my old MBP with Yosemite (10.10.1) and when singing in with her account to iTunes and the App Store it's saying it's not setup for family sharing.

Am i reading the instructions right from above. Am I supposed to be singing in with MY (the main) account on her laptop?

As an aside when I look into iTunes or the App Store on my laptop under my account, and i drop down to see her name, it shows the apps or songs visible to her account.
