No problem, just did so and posted it in here: Bootcamp and Yosemite upgrade - potential data loss warning

With hindsight, the problem I was having looks to be related to this issue, sorry for getting anyone's hopes up. Didn't read it carefully enough.

Loner T you are amazing!! I got the system to boot on firewire and rebuilt the hybrid GPT. I am writing you from bootcamp partition and both systems are up and running.

Thank you SOOOOO much for all your help and patience with this. I truly appreciate all your help. It has been a great learning experience (not that I was expecting this). Your are amazing!!

    Hello Loner T,

I try to post directly here, as my problem is quite similar.

But, yes theres is a "but" :-), i got a different display that seems more complex to me... i got 5 partitions and the one that seem to be the right partition is the 5th and the 4th dont remind me anything.

    Here are my outputs :

    Oops i forgot some details

    At boot bootcamp never disappeared

Windows 8.1 bootmgr is launching but i think it's not on the right disk (disk 4 contain a strange temp folder and a recovery file) > seen on finder

disk4 has the ntfs header but it's not the right disk

disk5 dont have the same header

As i remember there are only 4 partitions on my computer...

Can you start a new thread and post this information on the new thread? Please post a reference to the new thread on this thread.

Was you installation an EFI-based install, even though you have a Hybrid MBR as well? I am surprised at GPT#4 and GPT#5 that you have.
