Oct 25, 2014 11:41 PM in response to ChrisJ4203by Suiren, according to this link, its still apples fault. just Look at it.
only the third carrier group has the 3g button... only carriers that have no lte yet.
so what should they do? "yay **** lte and volte, we spent billions of Dollars but who
cares"?
plz Apple just insert a Button to turn off 3G.
the only other solution is jailbreaking and i dont want to jailbreak my iphone.

Oct 26, 2014 7:07 AM in response to Suirenby ChrisJ4203,No, according to that link the carriers make the choices. You need to deal with your carrier, and asking or telling Apple to do anything here on the forum is useless since they do not participate in the forum.

Oct 26, 2014 8:10 AM in response to ChrisJ4203by Suiren,no apple just leaves them no other choice ....the only carriers, that have the 3g/2g button are those, that support LTE but dont have it on the network. that means if the carrier is already using the LTE in his network, its customers wont be able to turn off the 3g.
sorry maybe i dont get it but to me it looks like its only apple, forcing the carriers(and customers), if they are using LTE or voLTE.
the battery of my iphone 6 wouldnt last 1 day if i have mobile data enabled the whole time...maybe apple is really not participating in this forum, but i bet they are reading.

Oct 27, 2014 12:28 AM in response to Divjot29by Kamal NewDelhi,Hi
I have a 5S and yesterday (26/10/2014), received an update and now I have the toggle in that.
However, I also have a iPhone 6 using the same iOS version but unable to get the toggle on my 6.
Both phones using same carrier - Airtel and same 3G plan as well.
No other update available as of now (27/10/2014)

Both on same iOS 8.1 and both on Airtel18.
5S shows toggles but 6 doesn't.

Oct 29, 2014 5:15 AM in response to Divjot29by iPankaj,Hi guys,
One thing I would like to add to this thread is - AirTel is still not supported with iPhone 6, particularly for the LTE. I have visited an AirTel Relationship Centre this morning and they said their network will start supporting iPhone 6 by the end of November and then only I can use 4G LTE in it. I guess this is the reason why we are not getting the 2G, 3G or 4G toggle in iPhone 6.

Oct 29, 2014 10:39 AM in response to iPankajby ritrock,To all those suffering, Airtel India removed the 2G option since iOS 7.1.2 itself as they introduced 4G services in India, devices affected 5C, 5S, 6

Nov 3, 2014 5:20 AM in response to Divjot29by elitekarthi,I tried almost every network on my iPhone 5s and only Airtel seems to be having the issue. Change the network or Port it to other Carriers.
This is strictly Carrier's Problem and Airtel is too lazy to update it. You cant even make them understand the issue too.
Right now I am on Vodafone and i am able to toggle between 2G, 3G and LTE !! Cheers
