Q: Single memory on Mac Mini late 2012

Can I only use a single memory for Mac Mini late 2012. Example only a single 8GB memory and the other slot empty. Thanks.

Yes, only one stick can be used. You can also have different capacities in each slot.
You will only see a very small decrease in speed
