Q: Since update to iOS 8 my passbook coffee cards won't work

Since iOS 8 my Starbucks card in passbook, and my Tim Horton card won't update. I tried removing and reinstalling the cards in passbook, with no success, and the Tim card won't even reinstall. Anybody have any idea how to fix this or is it up to Apple.

iPhone 4S, iOS 8.0.2

    Howdy BertingAP,

     

    It sounds like you have deleted and re added the Starbucks and Tim Horton cards to Passbook, but they dont seem to udpate at all. I would use the other troubleshooting steps from the following article to help resolve the issue here, named:

     

    iOS: Using Passbook

    Pass not updating

     

    If a pass isn't updating as expected, try the following:

    1. Ensure that you have an active Internet connection.
    2. Tap the info icon on the pass and check the last time it was updated.
    3. If it hasn't updated recently or if it doesn't appear to be correct, you can "pull to refresh" to update the pass.
    4. Turn on Automatic Updates.
    5. If it still doesn't update as expected, try quitting Passbook and opening it again. If the pass is still incorrect, check with the company or vendor that provided the pass.

    Unfortunately none of the suggestions worked. I therefore contacted Tim Horton, and they have never answered my requests for help.

    Unfortunately, I deleted the cards and app, then reinstalled them. Starbucks is fine, but the Tim Horton card won't re-install in passbook. I have e-mailed them many times and they never answered. Poor PR!

    Tim Horton's has still made NO attempt an answering me, to fix my passbook card. This is terrible PR.

    Good news! From the last few days all my cards now work in passbook. Something was fixed.
