Q: Bootcamp Windows 8.1 Missing after Yosemite Upgrade

Hi!

After upgrading to Yosemite, I could no longer access to my Windows on my macbook pro. The windows partition doesn't show up like it usually does when I boot and hold the 'option' key.

This is quite urgent as I have some important school work and the deadline is just around the corner. I am very bad with computers, I would much appreciate if someone can help me!. Thank you.

Please go to Application -> Utilities -> Terminal.

Type each of the following commands by triple-clicking on each line, use Command+C to copy and Command+V to paste it in the Terminal. Post the output of each command. Enter your password for the last two commands.

The gap between GPT#3 and GPT#4 indicates a similar issue to many others. Can you look at Yosemite Upgrade Broke Bootcamp as a reference and download Testdisk and GPT Fdisk and run Testdisk Deeper Search?

    Still running the deeper search.

I ve been trying to continue with the steps. and

the dd command - sudo dd if=/dev/rdisk0s4 count=1 2>/dev/null | hexdump -C  came out as

    00000000  00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00  00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00  |................|

Is this due to incompletion of previous steps or is it something else?

The Testdisk Deeper Scan and finding the correct start/end/size for the "lost" NTFS partition is a prerequisite for any of the subsequent steps. They will yield unreasonable results at best.

I have just completed my deeper search. (assuming I have chosen the correct drive) I could not figure out the start / end sectors. Also, it could not identify rdisk1 as a Intel/PC partition. The default selection is a Non partition media.

Do you mind giving me a step by step through TestDisk? I could not find any reference from the other threads.

These are the disks that came up.
