Nov 4, 2014 12:40 AM in response to Keeley4Ryanby aaaabug,The charger must output at least TWO amperes for big iPads or ONE ampere for a mini. Many vendors sell compatible chargers, just be sure to check the output capacity.

Nov 4, 2014 6:30 AM in response to Keeley4Ryanby Star Traveler,Did the charger that came with your iPad when you bought it, blow up, too? ALSO, does the one you got from another person (at eBay) have the Apple logo on it?
One thing to keep in mind about all Apple products ... don't bother with knock-offs (if that is indeed what you got), because it's simply not worth the trouble or hassle.

Nov 11, 2014 6:40 AM in response to Star Travelerby Keeley4Ryan,hello I bought the ipad 2nd hand had it chcked by apple the day I bought it and it was all fine I went on Friday with the chargers I thought had blown up which turns out they were both fine and genuine and the problem was with the ipad. today about half an hour ago my ipad died and has been on charge since but it keeps doing this cycle thing where it has the empty battery then turns on to lock screen and immediately dies again and has been like this since it died

Nov 11, 2014 6:51 AM in response to Keeley4Ryanby Courcoul,What probably died is the battery on the iPad, especially if it is an older model. Since you state having an appointment at the Store, they will assess that possibility as well as the cost of replacement. This is the moment when the term "inexpensive deal" goes flying out the window….
