Nov 4, 2014 10:48 AM in response to accleanby KiltedTim,★HelpfulUnless something has gone rogue, that's not the case. That's not how multitasking on the iPhone works. More likely is that some corruption occurred during the update.
Standard troubleshooting steps are:
Reboot.
Restore iOS, then restore your backup.
Restore iOS and set the phone up as a new device.
If none of those fix the problem, then make an appointment at the genius bar. It may simply be coincidental timing and the battery may need to be replaced. (About $70 if memory serves)
