Nov 4, 2014 6:46 PM in response to MattHarris5by ericleeclark,I'm having a very similar issue. Though it appears that invites are resent when I acknowledge in Calendar notifications re: the meeting. For example, if all users accept the meeting, Calendar shows a notification that all users have accepted and you can click OK to dismiss the notification. When I do that it sends the invite again. Very strange and very annoying for the people on my invites.

Jan 4, 2015 11:35 AM in response to MattHarris5by Barto44,I am having the same issue when I click the only option in iCal, which is "Ok" to remove a response to a meeting, it sends an updated invite to all 100 plus attendees. Please provide a solution.

Jan 14, 2015 12:22 PM in response to MattHarris5by PhilipDebbas,we noticed the problem and made some test. calendar resends the invitation everytime you click on "ok" in notification tray. but it happens only when the end of the appointment is in the future. as soon as the end of the appointment is in the past, then clicking "ok" doesn't trigger a reinvite. it is a clear bug of os x.
it feels like a very easy fix.

Jan 16, 2015 6:37 AM in response to PhilipDebbasby Screaming.Pict,I have a very similar issue that sounds like the same root cause, and I've had this issue ever since Mac OS started supporting Exchange server;
For any *recurring* meeting that I organise, if I click the 'Snooze' button on the notification- all of the attendees are sent a meeting update.
Sounds like the same issue- and given that it's been around for over 5 years, I suspect it's not going to get resolved any time soon.

Mar 9, 2015 4:52 AM in response to Screaming.Pictby palantir,Same issue here, but we are fairly certain it only started showing this behavior after upgrading to Yosemite...

Mar 9, 2015 4:53 AM in response to PhilipDebbasby palantir,Excellent and thanks for filing it. Have you seen any progress on that bug report?

Mar 16, 2015 1:33 PM in response to PhilipDebbasby Giliberti,Definitely interested to know if you heard back on the bug report. I have been experiencing this issue and most people now think I just don't understand how to set up meetings. For now I will just leave the notification bar alone - although that is pretty annoying.
I wonder, during your testing - if I click on OK on my iOS device, does it cause the same problem?

Aug 4, 2015 9:22 AM in response to MattHarris5by kashimcgilloway,I also submitted a bug as well a moment ago, not realizing you already did. I'm experiencing the same issue. Exchange, iCal, Yosemite.

Oct 27, 2015 8:15 AM in response to MattHarris5by fightin engineer,I have what appears to be the same problem only my triggering event is viewing the reminder/notification on my apple watch. Perhaps this a more fundamental problem with iCal across iOS and OS X. Anybody else seeing this also?

Nov 19, 2015 9:27 AM in response to fightin engineerby swingonastar,Same problem here with the watch. Help!

Jan 12, 2016 3:17 AM in response to swingonastarby smythg,Same problem for me using the Watch. You dismiss the Calendar notification on the Watch and it causes the meeting invite to be resent to everyone.
I have added a post to the Watch forum in case more help available there.

Jul 5, 2016 1:06 AM in response to MattHarris5by hansa69,I found in the Console a number of log lines related to this, I think:
05/07/16 09:48:39,174 CalendarAgent[245]: Stream 0x7f8263e437e0 is sending an event before being opened
Perhaps this is the culprit.
