Jul 25, 2014 3:29 AM in response to BMSguyby jacquesfromsciez,Hi BMSguy, Hi all
I am from Europe and also use the Resound LiNX 9 with apple Iphone 5
I had also some issues with repairing and with my audiologist and the technical guy from GN Hearing we found that the best solution to avoid issues with repairing is to shut down your mobile every evening. It seems that the instability of Iphone bluetooth can be solved in the most of the cases.
In case of you need to repair your Hearing Aids, close all the applications running on your Iphone, then "General", "Accessibility", open and close your Hearing Aids, "Hearing Aids", lets appears on the screen the name of your hearing aids with a "check" sign before and IMPORTANT do nothing with your phone during 30 seconds. After open your application Resound Smart and wait until the application stop to search.
Also important, always have your Iphone with you. If the distance between your Iphone and your Hearing Aids is too important (more than 10 meters) you may have a de-pairing...

Nov 5, 2014 3:59 PM in response to Moabgirlby ScaryJerry,Most of you complaining about poor streaming and other issues are perhaps missing the even more important problem with the new Bluetooth standard that Apple and Resound are promoting: Wifi interference. It's a huge issue and is keeping your streaming from working properly.
I have had my Resound Linx for a month and I may be the only one who has tied the new Bluetooth to the main problem of wifi interference. I have personally met with Apple AND Resound reps and have demonstrated the problem on iPhone 5S, iPhone 6 and iPhone 6+, all running the 8.1 update.
Today I sent 2 painful hours with the audiologist and the Resound Rep while they both fumbled the issue repeatedly. They even replaced both of the hearing aids. I asked the Resound rep a simple question: When and IF a fix comes down from Apple and/or Resound would he guarantee that I will get the fix for free, even if it means Resound has to give me a new version of the hearing aid. He would not commit to anything. I am returning my Resound Linx for a refund. Please Apple- this is not a rant or against your terms of use. Please allow this to be posted. Thank you.

Nov 5, 2014 4:59 PM in response to ScaryJerryby Belle's Mother,I recently upgraded from the iPhone 5 to the 6. I am getting good pairing with my Linx aids and the phone but do usually have to close the phone down in the morning and then reboot. Don't know why that is. Don't have bluetooth trouble with the keyboard for the iPad or the phone with the car. Actually I don't need the phone app very much because I usually just leave the aids at the same level. The app is most handy if I just want to turn the aids off without having to take them out of my ears - like when I play the piano.

Feb 18, 2016 9:12 AM in response to jacquesfromsciezby fcada,I have been pairing my Resound hearing aids to my Apple Ipod touch. It seems that I am having the same problems as others. Thanks apple for this forum.
The problem I am seeing is the ipod and aids pair for about 5 or 10 minutes and then the pairing is lost. If I recycle power on the ipod I can get paired again. Playing music on the ipod and hearing it directly on my aids is cool but frustrating. It appears to me that there may be interference from other RF transmitters, maybe even WIFI? Bluetooth does work fine with other ipod pairing devices such as speakers. I realize that hearing aids must have little space and power for sophisticated electronics that might solve this problem. I wonder how much testing was done by Resound on the Bluetooth pairing. I would like to hear from Resound on this issue. If it can't be fixed then they should consider some sort of rebate to those of us that are keeping the aids but not getting what we paid for.

Feb 18, 2016 11:59 PM in response to fcadaby franklin1000,Have you read the "Hearing aids and ios9.2" thread in the Apple Support Communities? It sounds like you possibly could be having a problem that can only be fixed by a visit to the place you bought your hearing aids. Here is the explanation from that thread.
From the manufacturer:
Thank you for contacting ReSound. For your initial issue you will have to go back to your Hearing Care Professional at Costco. With the iOS9.2 update, anyone who has not been connected to the fitting software since their update in September needs to get connected for the Triple-Click Menu to function or for the Settings menu to look right. Your Hearing Care Professional just needs to physically hook up your hearing aids to their computer system and save the programming for this to function again.
To get reconnected for streaming to both hearing aids:
1) Make sure your batteries are fresh and you do not have any other compatible Bluetooth devices with Bluetooth turned on within 30 feet.
2) Go to Settings > General > Accessibility > Hearing Aids
3) Tap on Tim’s Hearing Aids
4) Scroll down to Forget This Device, tap it and tap Forget again to confirm
5) Turn your phone completely off and then on again. Hold down the power button until it says “slide to power off” and once the screen is completely off hold the power button down again until you see the Apple symbol
6) Go back to Settings > General > Accessibility > Hearing Aids
7) Open and close your hearing aid battery doors
8) Tap on your name when it comes up in black text (usually you would get a pairing request but with the iOS9.2 issue you do not get this until you are reconnected to the fitting software)
