Q: Parental controls completely blocks all internet access without it being blocked in parental controls.
With OS X Yosemite installed, on many computers of people I know, if parental controls is enabled, even if there is no internet restrictions enabled, it still blocks all internet access. The only solution we've found is to completely disable parental controls. Is there any way to keep parental controls without having this issue?
This issue has occurred on many Macbook Airs (New ones) and Macbook Pros with Retina Display (new ones).

To follow on to this comment, I've since had the problem again. It appears that Chrome is a complicating factor. Another thread on the forums blames Chrome for breaking something in the Parental Controls system and this is consistent with what I'm seeing.
After fixing things I would see the problem again when my kids used Chrome, regardless of Parental Controls limits. The fix was a router reboot and computer reboot, but Chrome breaks it again. However after hiding Chrome and switching both kids accounts to Safari for the default browser the fix is persistent. I still use Chrome on the administrator account with no trouble. And I'm back to using a time limit on the managed accounts as well.
