Nov 9, 2014 8:52 AM in response to cbarb311by ardchoille42,You can delete an iCloud backup without problems. Once you delete a backup I recommend creating a new one. You will need to go to Settings > iCloud > Backup and turn on iCloud Backup - deleting the current backup will turn this setting off. Once you have turned this setting back on, you can create a new backup using the button that will appear under the iCloud Backup setting - the Backup button is not visible while the iCloud Backup setting it turned off but will reappear when the iCloud Backup setting is again enabled.

ALSO ... be sure to know how your backups work from these Apple Support documents, so you know what is saved and what is lost! If you use your iTunes program on your computer, you can save a backup without using up your iCloud space, if that's what you're talking about.
