You would need to obtain a copy of Pages v4 ('09) which can open AW word processing documents. Then the current version of Pages should be able to open the converted documents. According to roaringapps.com Pages '09 will run on Yosemite. It's not sold by Apple any more: you would have to look for the iWork '09 box from independent retailers.

Panergy Software's docXConverter v3.2 ($19.95) can convert Appleworks 5 and 6 Word Processing documents to RTF (though it has been reported that it can only handle documents which contain only text, not those which include images or frames). The latest version of the free LibreOffice has announced that it can open AppleWorks 6 Word Processing documents and an ability to open ClarisWorks documents has been reported: it does appear to be able to handle at least some embedded images.

Better than converting to Pages 5, use Pages 4.3 & actually get work done.

AppleWorks 6.2.9 spreadsheet documents can be converted to work with Numbers 3.5 by the following steps:

In AppleWorks 6.2.9 (running under Mac OS X 10.4.11)

    1) open the AppleWorks 6 spreadsheet document

    2) choose Save As from File menu

    3) select for File Format the option:  "Excel Win 97, 2000, XP 2002 spr"

3a) don't add any file extension to the filename at this point

    4) next Save the file (wherever you choose)

    5) at this point, add the .xls to the file you just saved

5a) move the file wherever you need to, to be able to open it with Numbers application

In Numbers 3.5 (running under Mac OS X 10.10)

    1) open the Numbers application

    2) choose Open File from File menu

    3) select the file (see 5a above) with the .xls extension and then Open (opens right up)

Note:  I was converting simple spreadsheet documents with text and numbers and formulas only.
