Nov 7, 2014 11:32 AM in response to ajleemax800by TotalTruth,I Was having the same issue but what I was doing was keeping the screen protector that came with the phone. I did not peel it off and on removing the entire thing from back to front the issue was fixed. If that doesn't work just call apple suppor. They'll probably tell you to back up your files and restore the phone from settings>General>Reset from the very bottom and rest all settings.
If that doesn't work then visit your local Apple store and they'll issue you a new one.

Nov 7, 2014 11:50 AM in response to TotalTruthby Raul Henriquez,Really enough with these post!
Do you honestly think everyone here is that stupid to not remove the plastic that clearly
covers the receiver?

Nov 7, 2014 5:21 PM in response to Raul Henriquezby TotalTruth, tthis is where people receive information and change takes place. Someone said that same thing earlier and it was what fixed it for me so I'm testifying of my personal experience which matched someine else's. Mine wasn't covering the receiver I clipped that part off and kept the back and from plastic/screen protector but by removing everything my low volume phone instantly operated the way it should have.
Its clear that this is not your case so follow the next two steps suggested as there was three but u only addressed one.

Nov 8, 2014 11:04 AM in response to KULIK121by Markfromadvance,Unfortunately, I am having the same problem with low volume on my iPhone 6 Plus that everyone on this forum is complaining about. Based on what I am reading this may prove to be a major problem with these phones. Had I known about it before purchasing the 6 Plus, I probably would not have bought it. It is ridiculous. I have never had this problem with any of my previous iPhones and now I am not sure what to do. From what I have read on this forum nothing seems to really help. Wondering if I will have to go back to a 5 model or simply buy a Samsung or something else. I really can't live with a phone that doesn't have high volume at the earpiece. I have a call in to Apple-Care right now and will see what happens. To be continued....

Nov 10, 2014 10:45 AM in response to Markfromadvanceby sawadee2,I have been "reading the mail" on this issue for a while. I have had my 6 Plus for 13 days and notice the first day that the earpiece speaker was low.
I have to have it up full the hear normally with a normal call. But if I am in a noisy area or the caller has low volume then I have no option to turn up.
I and my wife had iPhone 4S units and both had set volume to midpoint or one line up. Had these phones for 3 years and had no concern about volume. Never even gave it a thought.. But the 6Plus volume is noticeably lower.
My wife has a 6 and I had not heard a complaint from her concerning this but when I went to check the volume setting I found it set to max. So wondering if this is also an issue with the 6.... Seems it should be as the speaker and audio chips are supposed to be the same.. In any case today is my last day to give the phones back (I purchased both outright so I have no contract with Verizon).
Verizon level 2 tech service made an appointment for me with the Apple Store "Wunderbar" so will see what happens.

Nov 10, 2014 9:13 PM in response to TotalTruthby Otabur,Exactly what happened to me as well. I admit it's stupid, but it's worth mentioning. I read many complains and tried restarting, turning on hearing aids mode, and eventually went with online apple tech support. When reminded of peeliby off the protector I was shocked this could happen to me. We all make mistakes once in a while and feel stupid about them, but that's how we learn.

Nov 11, 2014 12:40 AM in response to Otaburby TotalTruth,Yes indeed.
WHo would have thought that by not removing the protector the volume would have been affected the way it did. I've kept protectors on in the past without these issues but I guess there's a first in everything. Happy it worked for you also; enjoy your phone now. My iPhone is working fine and loving it.

Nov 11, 2014 9:58 AM in response to Raul Henriquezby jlbachs,Some people leave the plastic on until they can get a screen protector. It doesn't change the fact that there is an issue that needs to be resolved. No amount of insulting other users will help move us closer to that solution.

Nov 12, 2014 9:07 AM in response to KULIK121by Aptidda,I had this issue when I purchased my iphone 6+ silver 128GB. The speaker was not usable in any type of environment other than a room with a closed door it was so quiet. It was extremely frustrating- so I made an appointment at the Apple Store. They tested it and gladly replaced my phone with a new one.... I should have tested it before I left. Come to discover the new device had the exact same issue. I went back to the apple store and the following day and they were nice enough to see me right away without making an appointment. They tried reinstalling software- tested calling via facetime on their wifi network to see if it was an AT&T network issue... still the same problem.
They then took the phone for an hour and replaced the internal ear piece speaker and now the phone is working great.

So, in your case, quite obviously it was a hardware problem and I'm pleased that you have got it sorted but, other buyers have found that simply removing the back and front plastic protectors has work for them. In my case, I had already removed those covers and I then entered settings/sound and disabled the 'change with buttons' slider so that the internal slider works independently of the external button. I then set the external volume to half way (which it always was on my 5S, 5, 4 and 3GS) and the internal slider to two thirds and then found that I could hear incoming callers with a good level of volume in the ear speaker. Again, that did not work for other iPhone 6 owners. -
Nov 12, 2014 3:46 PM in response to KULIK121by Ambianced1,I did this and it now works just like it should...Maybe this will help you Regards!
I recently purchased an iPhone 6 and immediately noticed that the phone call volume through the earpiece was much lower than my iPhone 5. Speaker volume was more than loud enough but the low earpiece volume (even though it was at max volume during the phone call) was making it difficult to understand anything.
A quick Google search for iphone 6 earpiece low volume brings up similar questions.
As mentioned by Ledsteplin on the iMore forums, a possible fix is to go to Settings > General > Accessibilty > Hearing Aids and toggle Hearing Aid Mode to On. When I did this and proceeded to make a phone call the volume was only at half even though I remember setting the volume to max during the previous call. I increased the volume to max and noticed a significant difference.
I noticed that when you toggle Hearing Aid Mode to On you can no longer toggle Phone Noise Cancellation to On (which is set toOn by default in iOS 8). I have a feeling the Phone Noise Cancellation setting is the actual culprit and the real fix is to simply toggle itOff, make a phone call, and set your phone call volume to max.
