Q: iphone 6 front glass broken

Hello,

My CellPhone dropped from 50 centimeter height and its front glass broke. How can unbreakable glass broke even you said it is unbreakable? My first and only reason selecting IPhone is sturdy and Company which they can stands for their product. I spoke Apple Customer Service in my country and they said "we can change your iphone with new iphone in return of 2000 turkish liras". Firstly i thought it must be joke because it is almost same money cost of new iphone. What is point of buying iphone if this is what happens when you needed company to stand for their product? I can buy another phone which it is not iphone and I won't suggest anyone to buy iphone this time also i will complaint to all places about this. I have been using iphone for six years and Iphone6 is your least sturdy phone , you have ever made. I was always glad by using apple product but i will not suggest anyone now. Especially, I thank to Apple Company after I spoke Apple Customer Service in Turkey.

Sorry, but dropping the phone is not covered by the warranty.

If you are willing to pay the service fee, you can either have your screen replaced, or Apple will replace the whole unit, if your device is eligible for the Out-of-Warranty Service.

What type of damages are not covered by my warranty?

The Apple Two-Year Limited Warranty for iPhone excludes coverage for damage resulting from accident, disassembly, unauthorized service and unauthorized modifications. Please review the Apple Two-Year Limited Warranty for further details.

An iPhone that is ineligible for warranty service may be eligible for Out-of-Warranty (OOW) Service. For example, an iPhone that has failed due to damage or liquid damage is ineligible for warranty service but eligible for OOW service. However, certain damage is ineligible for OOW service, including catastrophic damage, such as the device separating into multiple pieces, and inoperability caused by unauthorized modifications. Please see Apple's Repair Terms And Conditions for further details. Refer to this article to check if the Liquid Contact indicator on your product has been triggered.

If your iPhone is not eligible for warranty service, you may wish to contact your carrier for other options.

My iPhone is not eligible for warranty service. What are my service options?

Apple offers service options for an iPhone that is not eligible for warranty service.

    1. Battery Replacement Service

If your iPhone requires service due to the battery's diminished ability to hold an electrical charge and it is not covered under the Apple Two-Year Limited Warranty or statutory consumer rights, Apple will service your iPhone for a service fee. For more details, please refer to the Battery Replacement Service information.
    2. iPhone Screen Repair

Repair and replacement costs depend on your iPhone model and your AppleCare product coverage. Apple will run a diagnostic test to determine whether your iPhone has experienced additional damage. If it has, or if it needs other repairs, you may need to pay an out-of-warranty service fee. Accidental damage isn't covered under the Apple Two-Year Limited Warranty.

      iPhone 6 310.27 TL

The screen repair service fee includes a 31.27 TL shipping fee. All fees are in Turkish lira and include VAT. Pricing applies only to screen repair by Apple.

If you own an iPhone that is ineligible for warranty service but is eligible for Out-of-Warranty (OOW) Service, Apple will service your iPhone for the Out-of-Warranty Service Fee listed below.

........my 6 glass broke with little impact and the Apple employee reported MANY similar occurrences....so I predict an Apple fix.  I have owned 10 iPhones and never damaged a screen with my 'average' drops.  Replaced under Applecare for $79 and the kind employee even replaced my $40+ leather case which was only a couple months old.  I just ordered a Zagg HDX, which I have on my iphone5.  Also, the glass fractured so significantly that it could not be used...and the 3' drop to a hard floor also killed the phone.  I have NEVER had a damaged phone from such a drop.  Hope this is not the current future?
