Nov 12, 2014 11:21 AM in response to jayfrombayshoreby K Shaffer,★HelpfulThe specifications for the iBook G4 changed somewhat from the first build to the last;
so the accessories did also, and followed the upgrade path of internal hardware.
The everymac.com site has some information on each of those models, linked here:
•iBook G4/800 12-Inch (Original - Op) 800 MHz PowerPC 7457 (G4)
iBook G4/933 14-Inch (Original - Op) 933 MHz PowerPC 7457 (G4)
•iBook G4/1.0 14-Inch (Original - Op) 1.0 GHz PowerPC 7457 (G4)
iBook G4/1.0 12-Inch (Early 2004 - Op) 1.0 GHz PowerPC 7447a (G4)
•iBook G4/1.0 14-Inch (Early 2004 - Op) 1.0 GHz PowerPC 7447a (G4)
iBook G4/1.2 14-Inch (Early 2004 - Op) 1.2 GHz PowerPC 7447a (G4)
•iBook G4/1.2 12-Inch (Late 2004 - Op) 1.2 GHz PowerPC 7447a (G4)
iBook G4/1.33 14-Inch (Late 2004 - Op) 1.33 GHz PowerPC 7447a (G4)
•iBook G4/1.33 12-Inch (Mid-2005 - Op) 1.33 GHz PowerPC 7447a (G4)
iBook G4/1.42 14-Inch (Mid-2005 - Op) 1.42 GHz PowerPC 7447a (G4)
Without a matching identifier of the build year model and other product info.a proper accessory may be harder to locate; especially now they're obsoleted.A Mid-2005 is the last build model of the iBook G4, with 12-inch + 14-inch only.A variety of BTO options may exist where available, but the main identifier isa sequence of other numbers, not just the series which carried through years.There used to be an Apple support page showing these various adapters fordisplay output, but I don't seem to be able to locate one at this time.Good luck & happy computing! -
