Q: Applications resized smaller and repositioned after deep sleep with dual displays

I seem to be stuck with Yosemite upon waking from sleep having resized all application windows to a narrower width (just shy of 900px) and moving them down (about 240px) on my primary display. Doesn't matter browser, office app, preview, finder, ... You name it it resets it from 1920px wide to 900; and typically pulls it down 240px from the menu bar.

Mac mini '12

Primary display 24" HP w2408h 1920x1200, HDMI-HDMI, located right

Secondary display 19" HP w1907 1440x900, rotated 90deg (portrait), TB-DVI, located left

After countless rounds of this resizing I decided to measure things out, and the windows on the primary screen are narrowed to the width as to fit the secondary screen (seemingly a few px shy of 900) and pushed down 240px to align with the bottom of the secondary screen ... which in portrait mode is 240px taller (1440 vs 1200)

Have not found a way to correct this behavior.

10.10.1 release did not fix the problem.

Just found Safari resizes to 900px and pulled down 240px into the bottom left of the 24" screen.

Same for libreoffice and open office.

iPhoto narrowed to 900px and centered on screen, but still vertically fine.
