Aug 17, 2014 11:13 PM in response to ImUrHaLoby vithun kumar,I had the same issue. Unchecking the "Convert higher nitrate songs to..." option on the iPhone Summary page on iTunes fixed it for me. This results in few songs taking up more space on my phone, but at least they all sync properly now.

Sep 25, 2014 2:28 AM in response to evnhuby nugat63,Yes, after frustrating two days of struggle unchecking "convert higher nitrate..." WORKED.
My iPhone5 finally synced with the library.
Shame Apple, if it wasn't for your faithful users and their work and help many would quit the platform.

Apr 28, 2015 8:36 PM in response to 42n8guyby Soren Pearson,Sorry to bring up an old topic but I had the same issue of iTunes canceling the sync so I restarted my Mac and then iTunes was able to sync without issues.

Jun 30, 2015 4:53 PM in response to ImUrHaLoby Janellalexandra,Oh my god, i was having this problem for months and there's not much to help. This might though! Start video at 2 minutes and follow what he says! Life saver, everything works now. If you can't see the video basically go to Settings>iTunes & App Store>and then TURN OFF both music and videos under "show all" after that, check your music app and the greyed out songs and stop signs should disappear!

Sep 10, 2015 11:50 AM in response to ImUrHaLoby mjlday,The idea of turning off conversion of higher bitrate songs to AAC 256 format is attractive, and it's wonderful that it worked for some of you, however, my entire music library with the exception of my iTunes purchases is stored in Apple Lossless (ALAC) format. That's 4000 songs in ALAC.
I just can't hold that much on my 128 GB iPhone 6.
Any other ideas?

Dec 12, 2015 8:12 AM in response to ImUrHaLoby kingfisher500,This is how I fixed this problem. I could not sync my iPad. When the problem began a couple of days ago, I got an alert message indicating that my computer was no longer authorized as shown in the following thread: <the iPhone could not be synced because this computer is no longer authorised for purchased items that are on this iPhone>.
None of the suggestions given in that thread solved the problem, either.
I finally followed the suggestion to restore my iPad. I connected to iTunes and did a restore to factory settings and then restored the iPad data from my backup, which is on my computer. I was then able to run sync without any issue.

Apr 11, 2016 6:55 PM in response to AlexTB44by mondogreen,Yeah, that's it! I've experienced this problem with my 5th Gen iPod Touch off-and-on for a while, and this solved it. Removed download of all songs by the first artist that synced, and then when I re-synced, no problem. Thanks for the tip!

Jun 21, 2016 10:57 AM in response to ImUrHaLoby Jonny Marshall,This worked for me: Plug in your iPod/iPhone
Navigate to the device in iTunes
Under summary, check "sync only checked songs and videos"
Go back to your iTunes songs (not your device songs)
Select all your songs
Right click > Uncheck Selection
Sync your device (This should do a blank sync for your music)
Select all your iTunes music again
Right click > Check Selection
Re-sync your device
This worked for me - hopefully this will do the trick for others. -
Sep 26, 2016 9:21 PM in response to ImUrHaLoby David Farah,I had this problem with the USB wire. Changed it to Sync with Wifi and that did the trick! Thought the latest IOS broke things. Not true!! Something with the wire though. Not kinked and connected directly to the iMac....hummm...weird. But at least Wifi works!!! Oh and I do have songs convert to 192kbps too. Thank goodness. Changing that to OFF would hamper my collection big time!!
