Nov 16, 2014 9:38 AM in response to amano8uby Frank Juestel,Same thing at my end.
MBP 15" Retina, Yoesemite 10.10.0 and 10.10.1
Bluetooth and WLAN doesn't work together. As soon as I turn on bluetooth WLAN goes down. Ping times to oracle.com will increase from 130 ms over 5,000 ms and more. Lots of lost packages. Switching bluetooth off, everything looks good. So I can't use my Notebook stand anymore, no TouchPad, no Apple Keyboard. This is ridiculous.
Apple is on a good way to become the new windows vista with Yosemite. That's stupid. Why should I pay so much more money for a machine if it is not working?
I'm really frustrated. Apple, take you more time to develop something. Maybe a release cycle of two years will be good. It doesn't make sense to come up with a release every year having more and more problems. Or hire more programmers or pay them more so they get motivated.
kind regards
Frank

Nov 17, 2014 10:48 AM in response to Frank Juestelby nigelgreenlee,Ok so the question is has Apple resolved issues with 10.10.1?

Nov 17, 2014 10:56 AM in response to nigelgreenleeby dgbarar,The 10.10.1 beta did not work for me. Actually, it made my situation worse and I had to revert to 10.10.0. The only solution that I have found so far that gives me a stable 5 GHz connection is forcing to channel 48. Channels 149 and higher are unstable on my late 2013 15" rMBP. My early 2014 11" MB Air was stable with higher channels.

Nov 17, 2014 1:23 PM in response to Frank Juestelby furankiisenpai,Great work Apple, nothing has changed. Same problem with 10.10, 10.10.1 (developer version) and 10.10.1 "fixed version".
I cannot believe that Apple is getting issues with this kind of things. I'm really upset. I only can use internet by ethernet or booting Windows. Incredible!
I think I'm going to downgrade to Mavericks until I buy another Mac.

Nov 17, 2014 2:10 PM in response to dgbararby dgbarar,Hi All,
Sorry. Spoke too soon about 10.10.1 as I did not realize the final version had been released. Just updated to 10.10.1 non-beta and testing now at higher channel numbers. Will write back in a few days to see how if I can remain connected at higher channel numbers.

---> OSX 10.10

That´s not funny! -.- -
Nov 17, 2014 10:05 PM in response to acopsoneby Erik Landi,So after updating the 5 Ghz throughput seems to have stabilized and 2.4 Ghz has also stabilized as well. Overall this update seems to have fixed my issues.

Nov 18, 2014 5:48 AM in response to Erik Landiby FloridaMason,Problem solved for me. Turns out that when I applied the 10.10.1, all started to work fine. Ironically though I had contacted Apple and the denied there being a problem. Then the very next morning, I see the update ***. It working now though.

Nov 18, 2014 5:56 AM in response to FloridaMasonby Frank Juestel,10.10.1 doesn't work for me :-(
Hi, 10.10.1 doesn't work for me. The first five minutes work great, than the problem comes again. I have to switch of WLAN. Bluetooth only works fine.
I've send Apple detail diagnostic files on there request this morning. Hope Apple can fix it. Maybe there are different ChipSets in our MacBooks and they only fixed it for some of them.
Kind regards

Nov 18, 2014 6:01 AM in response to Frank Juestelby MasterBuck,Me too,
in fact it has got worse, the 'x' with no hardware appears on the top more often and on the rare occasion after a restart I get WiFi, it lasts for a few minutes before failing..
-
Nov 18, 2014 6:47 AM in response to MasterBuckby nigelgreenlee,Master. this may be entirely irrelevant to your problem. But i found this in an old disscusion regarding a similar issue on Lion .wi-fi: no hardware installed

Nov 18, 2014 8:29 AM in response to nigelgreenleeby Yvantoo,The issue was resolved for me (MP retire 15 late 2014). I had issues only with WPA2-Entreprise WiFi. Installing the update only did not work at first. I had to delete the preference files in the library/preferences/systempreferences first and reboot. I have had my connection for nearly 3 hours now, compared to the paltry 1 or 2 minutes segments. I would suggest folks try to install the update and follow the instructions posted everywhere on deleting and refreshing the preference files related to WiFi.

Nov 18, 2014 11:40 AM in response to Yvantooby Bow3000,The only thing that works for me is the constant Ping to the router. Otherwise, I lose connection. Since I'm constantly pinging the router, I haven't lost connection again.
Use this in terminal: ping -i 0.2 insert.router.ip.here

Nov 20, 2014 7:23 AM in response to GalagBashaby jpkgreywolf,Strike Two Yosemite.
After installing the 10.10.1 update, I still cannot stay connected to my Wireless Adapter for more than 15 seconds.
My Windows computer is connected just fine.
My 2011 MacBook Pro is now tethered across my room to my adapter box with an Ethernet cable.
I cannot believe that Apple has put out an operation system with crippled Wi-Fi code.
I did not have Wi-Fi connection issues with Mavericks.
The reason I switched from Windows to Apple is to avoid poor products and operating systems.
When Steve was at the helm this kind of incompetence was not tolerated.
I'm sorry to say I have lost faith in Apple after this upgrade ( downgrade ).
The Yosemite Manager should give his team one more strike before retiring them.
