Nov 16, 2014 2:23 AM in response to Jerseygirltrixxby mpare,The persistence of this problem is more than a little annoying. iOS 8 appears at the heart of the issue. I had the same Apps on my ipad mini using IOS 7, and had no problems. With the introduction of IOS 8, the problem is recurrent. A complete reinstall only remedies the problem for a while. Thank goodness that I have a real computer on which I can rely. I have given up attempting to do any work with my iPad mini, if that requires copying or cutting and pasting. This feature is just not reliable.

Nov 17, 2014 8:57 PM in response to Skaterooby TigerCatBrandon,The iOS 8.1.1 Update has severely improved multi tasking and clipboard memory management on my iPhone 4S and made me feel confident enough to turn reduce animations back off. Thanks, Apple ! (Written in a Text Editing app and Copy/Pasted )

Nov 18, 2014 2:13 AM in response to sweenoidby F1Mad,When I first downloaded iOS8.1.1, the problem was still occurring. Right now, it's not and all seems OK. But I'm still reserving judgement.

Nov 18, 2014 4:58 AM in response to TheHajby luay1985,I update my iPhone 4S to 8.1.1 about 8 hours ago, until now it seems much better ... I didn't get the clipboard stuck yet ... I hope it stays like this forever.
Plus I can feel performance boost ... the multitasking and refresh of apps is much better now ! It's Apple Engineers are waking up from their nap

Nov 18, 2014 2:33 PM in response to TheHajby this-is-my-alias,I Experience this same issue. A copy and paste will paste something I previously copied repeatedly no matter how many times I re-copy and re-paste. Though I have found a solution that while a big time consuming, does work.
FForget you have a copy option. Use "cut" and if you are in a browser, or near one, paste it into the irk bar. I've been doing this a while pre-this bif, as the only way I found to remove styling to be able to "paste as plain text".
By pasting in the URL bar you can see if your cut/copy worked. You won't be able to "cut" everywhere, like a web page. In those cases, I select all, copy, go to "notes.app" or if it's short, the URL bar. From there I cut out the bit I needed from "notes.app" and usually go right to the app I want to paste to without issue. Though sometimes I do have to take a middle step and paste to the URL bar.
SOmething aboit bout the irk bar that allows copy to work a bit more reliably though still not 100% perfect.
HOpe this helps some of you until Apple fixes this, which I have a feeling is going to take a long time as is usually the case with what I personally consider huge mission critical bugs but Apple seems to de-prioritize.
Didn't it take until around version 3 of iOS to even get copy and paste? Granted, I'm glad they took the time as it works remarkably well when it works. Compared to Android, copy and paste is this beautiful, fluid, logical, self teaching function. On an Android based system, I have to think really hard about how to activate copy, and selecting columns and ranges off of www pages, compared to iOS it is a nightmare. Yet Android users seem to not be bothered. Probably because even if the implementation is crap, at least they *can* copy and paste.

Nov 20, 2014 12:09 AM in response to luay1985by this-is-my-alias,Yes, I did the update the second I saw It. First I had issues. copy/paste was fixed but I couldn't answer calls, text alerts made no sound and a bunch of little issues. While the updated restarted my phone, a cold hard power down and restart solved everything that I was troubled by aside from long standing avd known bugs.

Nov 20, 2014 12:15 AM in response to this-is-my-aliasby luay1985,Good to hear so ... I believe for my iPhone 4S, 8.1.1 has fixed the copy/paste bug ... until now I didn't get an incorrect paste ( I hope it stays this way )..
And since there are much less people complaining in this forum, it seems that the issue has been solved for them as well ( please confirm guys )
