Oct 11, 2014 4:13 PM in response to gengailby otterear,Today's date is October 11, 2014. I am running Lion 10.7.5
I am having the same problem as everyone else. So I followed Alberto's instruction but I wonder if I did it correctly. For I did test trials of sending myself emails with the attachments as icons, and when I recd the em., the forms were 'open'.
Where exactly do I place the "defaults write com.apple.mail DisableInlineAttachmentViewing -bool yes " in Termnal?
Application > Utilities > The a screen saying "otterearpetcare - bash - 80 x 24 l
Last login: Sat Oct 11 15:58:14 on ttys000
Lindas-MacBook-Pro:~ otterearpetcare$
After the $ is where I placed the above quote.
But I test it again and its still showing at the other end as open documents.
So am I doing this right or is there something new I can try.

Nov 21, 2014 8:35 AM in response to gengailby trixr4kz,How do I reverse this "defaults write com.apple.mail DisableInlineAttachmentViewing -bool yes? I did it and now my email signature isn't working and the pictures I'm emailing are still opening up in the email vs. being an attachment.
Thanks!

Jan 15, 2015 9:44 AM in response to Alberto Ravasioby GeneonMAC,Alberto:
I have tried, in vain, executing your command in Terminal. I open Terminal, allow it to log in, then paste the command and press enter.
Re-opening Mail still shows the attachments expanded rather than as icons. What am I doing wrong in Terminal?
Thanks.

Apr 14, 2015 9:13 AM in response to hoopsmillerby sjs17815,Two Questions:
This helped me in adding the icon to the body of my email, however, now my business card at the end of my emails is also an icon.
1. How can I have both or revert back to sending attachments in the body of the email?
2. My husband feels that his attachments show as part of the body when he sends them however, the receiver gets the icon. Is this true?
Thank you, I look forward to your reply.
