Q: Outlook 2013 Calendar Sync fails with new iTunes 11.1.5.5

My System:

-- Win 7 32-bit OS

-- iPad and iPhone are updated to most current iOS (7.0.6)

-- Just updated to most current iTunes for Windows (11.1.5.5)

-- MS Outlook 2013

I have been successfully syncing Outlook 2013 with my iPad 3 and iPhone 4S for a few years now.   I just updated iTunes for Windows to v11.1.5.5.  When I sync now, the process gets stuck on "Syncing Calendars".

Any thoughts on how to proceed?

Thanks.

I had uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes as well, and at first it worked, but the synching problem reoccurred after I rebooted my computer for some reason. If that happens to you (I hope it doesn't!), try the repairs to the Apple programs from within Control Panel.

Hope this will get to everyone who cannot sync their Outlook 2013 calendars to their iPhones after updating to the latest version of iTunes and downloading the latest iPhone software update. My experience was that sometimes my iphone would update my new calendar events but most of the time it wouldn't. I found an easy was around this until Apple decides to fix it. When I add an event to my Outlook calendar on my laptop now I "Invite" myself. When I get the email on my iPhone I open it and add it to my iPhone calendar. It's an extra step but now but it works!

Why are you posting replies that say only your name, fazlul?

Simply wanted to pass along some info in resolving my iTunes sync issue with Windows 8.1, Outlook 2013, iTunes 12.1.1.4 and iPhone 4s.  I would frequently (pretty much always) see iTunes hang at either "Syncing calendars" or "Preparing to sync".  What I discovered was that if the environment path (System Path + User Path) was 2056 characters or greater in length, iTunes hangs and refuses to sync.  All works well with a shorter environment path setting  and if I increase the path to 2056 or greater the issue returns.  Not sure what's going on here with iTunes but something surely is broken with iTunes.  I've also been able to duplicate this on an entirely different Windows 8.1 System and a different iPhone with the same results.  It would be nice is someone else could verify they see the same issue when the environment path is 2056 characters or larger.
