Q: hands off

Hello friends

I've recently bought an iPhone 6. Along the way I had several issues with handoff (continuity).
Finding bluetooth devices on my iPhone and  the only handoff working is iMessage. I can't receive calls from my mac or continue working on any app at all.

Ofcourse I've tried to google for a solution but didn't find a working one.
What I did so far is turn on/off handoff on iphone & mac. Turn on FaceTime on/off and reboot after it.
iMessage is working properly, but is a bit glitchy.
And yes I've updates to 8.1.1

What else can I do to fix it?

iPhone 6, iOS 8.1

    Hi, Samed028.

Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.

Thank you for providing some of the troubleshooting steps that you processed for the issue with Continuity that you are experiencing.  There are just a couple more steps that I could recommend attached below.

    Check your settings

Check the following settings on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch:

    • Go to Settings > Wi-Fi and turn on Wi-Fi if necessary.
    • Make sure your iOS devices are connected to the same Wi-Fi network by going to Settings > Wi-Fi and comparing the name of the network each is on.
    • Go to Settings > Bluetooth and turn on Bluetooth if necessary.
    • Go to Settings > General > Handoff & Suggested Apps and make sure Handoff is on.
    • Go to Settings > Phone. If you see Wi-Fi Calling, turn it off.

Check the following settings on your Mac:

    • Go to the Wi-Fi icon at the top of your screen and turn on Wi-Fi if necessary.
    • Make sure your Mac and iOS devices are connected to the same Wi-Fi network. Go to Settings > Wi-Fi on your iOS device and compare the name of the network with the Wi-Fi network on your Mac.
    • Go to the Bluetooth icon at the top of your screen and turn on Bluetooth if necessary.
    • In System Preferences > General, select “Allow Handoff between this Mac and your iCloud devices.” If you don't see this setting, your Mac may not support Handoff.
    • Open the FaceTime app, go to FaceTime > Preferences and turn on “iPhone Cellular Calls.”
    • Go to System Preferences, and sign out and then sign in again to your iCloud account.

Get help using Continuity with iOS 8 and OS X Yosemite

    Hi Jason,

I am having a rather odd issue with regards to Handoff.

I have a Retina 5k iMac, Retina Ipad, iPhone 5 and iPhone 6 and all used to work in perfect harmony until I upgraded to iOS 9.

Now, my iMac, iPad and iPhone 5 still work as they should however i'm having trouble with my iPhone 6.

With the iPhone 6, continuity works i.e. I can make and receive phone calls through the Mac, I can use Air Drop as per normal but for some reason Handoff has stopped working completely.

To confirm it still works perfectly between iMac, iPad and iPhone 5.

I have followed all steps above but still no joy. - Can you provide any further assistance?

    Many thanks

    James.
