Q: I have restored my iphone and can't restore my icloud session

Hello,

 

I have restored my iphone because of a lot of problems everyday.

 

I try to restore my last icloud saving but I can't :

 

I have a message that say : "Impossible to restore your data savings are wrong"

(In french) = "Restauration de la sauvegarde impossible, vos données de sauvegarde présentent un problème"

 

What can I do ? I have lost all my settings whereas I've saved everything on icloud

 

Can someone help me ?

If you were syncing your contacts with iCloud, go to icloud.com to see if they are still there.  if they are, all you have to do to recover them is sign back into your account in Settings>iCloud and turn Contacts on.

 

If they aren't on icloud.com, you would have to have a usable backup to restore them from.

    It sounds like your backup is corrupt and cannot be restored.

    yes it is, but i'm really upset cause I've lost all my phone numbers ..... do you have any solutions ?

    Thanks for the great idea ! I've recovered them, but not the last ones (from the last 2 past weeks).

     

    Now I'm wondering how to recover these last phone numbers, I really need them and I can't have them on my last phone bill

     

    Do you have any idea ? And maybe, do you know where I can find the last phonecalls they're not on icloud

    If you backed up your phone to iCloud while the missing contacts were still on your phone and you are sure they were being synced with iCloud and not another account such as Gmail or Yahoo, you may be able to recover them from the backup by following the process explained here:  Recovering deleted iCloud contacts from an iCloud backup.  Prior to doing this, you should download your contacts from icloud.com as a vCard as explained here: iCloud: Export contact information as a vCard and save this on your desktop as a backup.  If restoring the contacts from your backup does not work, but instead erases the contacts from icloud.com, you can import this vCard to iCloud as explained here: iCloud: Import a vCard to at least recover the contacts that you have now.

    that's right yesterday I got the numbers by going to icloud.com and by sending vcards to my email.

    what's weird is I can't find the last 2phone numbers I've saved from 2 past weeks.

    I don't know why because my saving on icloud is younger than my last saving of these

    sorry for the bad langage that's pretty difficult to explain !

    It's possible that your phone stopped syncing contacts with iCloud sometime in the last two weeks so any new connects were never added to your iCloud account.  If that were the case, it's likely that they cannot be recovered, unless they were successfully backed up to iCloud, in which case you may be able to recover them by restoring your most recent backup as explained earlier.  As mentioned, prior to trying this you should download a backup of your current contacts from iCloud.com.
