Using Parallels is certainly an option but you should understand that games or software requiring a lot of CPU power may work better with a Boot Camp dual-boot system. Parallels has the advantage of letting you use OS X and Windows concurrently.

A Windows partition should be at least 100 GBs. However, you need to maintain at least 20 GBs of free space for OS X. You also need to maintain free space for adding data and/or new applications to OS X, so be sure you will have sufficient space for OS X. Given what you have described allocating 100 GBs to Windows may not be well advised - it may need to be less unless you can trim stuff from the OS X side.
