Nov 12, 2014 6:14 PM in response to Naj16by Ralph9430,★HelpfulIf I had a brand new iPhone that wouldn't turn on I would take it back to Apple instead of posting here. Make an appointment at an Apple Store to have your device examined by a technician. Or contact Apple Support.

Hi,It may have gone to sleep mode. You can try "press and hold the Wake/Sleep button and the Home button together for 15 seconds".
Cheers

Dec 11, 2014 12:05 AM in response to Naj16by ohsostephanie,I AM SO FRUSTRATED. After having to wait 2 1/2 weeks for my iphone 6 which was supposed to arrive in 1-2 days and paying a huge deductible and everything, I get sent a phone that turns off after 30 minutes of use. It was at 100% and just turn off and now wont charge or turn on. It just shows me a dead battery sign when it was never dead to begin with. I am beginning to be soooo done with Apple. Maybe it's time to switch over to Samsung Galaxies. Irritated as **** for real.

Dec 11, 2014 12:06 AM in response to Ralph9430by ohsostephanie,Wish I could Ralph, but all appointments are basically booked unless I want to travel 500 miles to find out I have to wait for another iPhone that is in back order, once again. Fun.

Dec 13, 2014 7:26 PM in response to Marti5klby lau186,Thank you for sharing this method - worked for my iPhone 6 plus too. The phone was working perfectly fine until this morning, after waking me up with the set alarm, suddenly died. Tried charging but no respond. Finally followed your suggestion - press wake/sleep & Home button until the phone start up again. Now its working fine.

Dec 15, 2014 2:29 PM in response to Matt_M.by jackfromelysian fields,Thanks for all your advice. I ended up taking my iPhone 6 to the "Mac Hospital" (Mac Centric) in Shreveport, la. they're good at fixing Apple products and the guy expects to send it back to Apple for replacement. The phone would not sync or restore... would not stay on... would not do anything. occasionally i'd get a solid blue screen... sometimes red... sometimes red and black. all very odd.

Dec 17, 2014 11:18 AM in response to CoffeeFan2by fopaw,I had the same situation, screen just went black for no apparent reason. I took your tip, help down the home/power button and it came back up. Connected it to ITunes and am now updating the IOS. Hopefully I will be good to go when that completes. Thanks for the tip!

Dec 19, 2014 6:35 AM in response to fopawby ganroc,★HelpfulHi there, I have had this issue twice. I have found a solution that has worked both times. Iphone
BEFORE
1) My Iphone 6 is dead.
2) When I plug charger in, there is no battery symbol that tells me it's charging.
3) Without the charger, hitting any button does NOT bring up the batter symbol.4) Will NOT connect to Itunes
5) All attempts to do the things in the trouble shooting list fail6) THE PHONE IS TOTALLY UNRESPONSIVE
Ok So it appears that the phone is in some sort of dormant stage. If you try to charge it for 30 Minutes and it is still dormant, (No battery symbol, then From My experience, it's not charging or recognizing the charger. So this next step is touch and go, but it eventually works.1) Let phone charge for an Hour
2) Keep cable plugged into phone, but remove it from the computer or wall plugin.
3) Hold Home button and right hand side button down at the same time for like 30 seconds.
4) Your battery symbol will return. (If it doesn't, plug back in and repeat steps every 10 minutes)
5) Plug the USB connector back into the computer or wall plug.
6) Leave phone alone to 10-15 minutes while it charges enough to turn it on.This has happened to me twice now. And both times this has been my solution. Good luck. Let me know if it works for you. !!

Dec 19, 2014 4:33 PM in response to CoffeeFan2by complex11,This worked for my 2 month old iPhone 6 plus. When it came back on there was blur on the screen (like interference) but was okay after I put it to sleep and then on again.
But I am surprised at the quality of this type of phone. I never had an iPhone reboot but the iPhone 6 plus restarts itself once every 3 or 4 days.
Something s fundamentally defective with this model or specific batch of products. I am recommending anyone who asks me about it stay away from this model.
Thanks for you fix. It worked for me.

Dec 24, 2014 6:07 PM in response to CoffeeFan2by mariedebee1002,This worked for me too CoffeeFan2! Thank goodness for this.
May I just comment that Apple's Support do not tell people that they should be experiencing this and they should try to hold home and power button just to boot the phone after backup/restore etc?
Transfer content from an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to a new device - Apple Support - they just put there things like it's not supposed to reboot or something
Thanks again !

Jan 1, 2015 7:38 AM in response to Naj16by MeisterEder,I had the same problem but pressing both buttons for longer than usual did restart the phone. Strange though, nothing worked and the phone was black but when pressing the sleep button longer it started Siri and I got a Siri response about minutes later. All else did not work, just Siri.
