Dec 6, 2013 7:11 AM in response to Erenkempferby CoralVision,From my experience with Canon's .mxf format, I can tell you that you'll need a plugin from the manufacturer. Have you checked their website? I think this may be the place to start:

Dec 28, 2013 2:21 AM in response to Erenkempferby WBBLN,Hi Erenkempfer,
you should download these Plugins for XAVC and the one for SR- Files. I have the F5. In FCPro X 10.1. the XAVC-PLugin seems to work. BUt there's another problem: after installing the XAVC-Plugin i cant import the SR-Files to FC anymore, not before deleting again this XAVC Plugin in the Library Folder the SR-PLugin works correctly. Cant explain why. Please tell me, if this happens also with your equipement.

Dec 28, 2013 7:40 AM in response to Erenkempferby ArtOfoe,hi,the sony xavc&xdcam plugin with calibrated mxf plugin work fine.
the advantage of the mxf import plugin is: you do not need to change the name!
it's boring when editing the low bitrate xdcam and export the xml and do conform in Flame/Quantel etc....
I don't know why apple want to change the name?
the flame or quantel can not recgonize the clip name even I choose "use the orignal name from camara" when editing in fcpx.
the disadvantage of the mxf import is:
if there's a 25minutes 4K XAVC, you can't import only the 20 seconds that is useful for you!
you have to import all the 25mintues 4K XAVC.....

Dec 29, 2013 7:54 PM in response to Erenkempferby hermandaz,The easiest way to import XAVC to FCP is to convert XAVC to ProRes mov then import the converted MOV files to FCP. to finish the conversion, you can try this XAVC Converter in the itunes store. After test, it works.

The easiest way is to update to FCPX10.1.4 (no charge!), which supports .mxf ..
