Q: Why can I no longer watch music videos in full screen mode via a playlist in the music app since upgrading to ios7?

Since upgrading to ios7 my iPhone 4S no longer allows me to watch music videos in full screen mode when I select the clips via a playlist from the music app.

It's now more necessary than before to use the music app rather than the video app to select music videos to play.  That's because the video app doesn't list music videos by artist any more. And also because the fast forward and rewind buttons on headphones remote no longer work on videos.

How do I watch full screen videos when rotating my iphone now shows my music library rather than showing the video itself?

iPhone 4S, iOS 7

Hey thanks to lots of upset apple customers, God answered our wishes and had Apple create a brand new app for the iPhone and iPad called "Music Video" that uses your playlists of videos and lets you play all your videos randomly in landscape mode!!!!!!! This is awesome! Thank You Apple! This is how it used to be with the old operating system.

I guess crApple is too busy helping the Obama Administration fix the "Affordable" Care Act than to address their failed music program and dissatisfied customers.

I wander what was the reason Apple changed that feature.

If there was no compeling reason, I hope they will change it back soon, because I (like many other users) don't want to pack my phone with too many third party apps for every single feature when I know I had it before included in my music app.

(just wanted to add my voice to the rest of concerned users).

Just one design disaster after another. From apps to earphones.

Videos are no longer grouped/sorted by artist!!! Who was that moron who made such a stupid decision?

Earphones/pods/whatever... How it was possible to combine such a perfect piece of hardware with such a AWFUL design? They are falling out constantly! Yes, yes, I know... Our ears just can't hold them properly! It's our fault...

PS: BTW, my iPhone 5S still drops calls if I'm holding it ... incorrectly. )))

I couldn't agree more. Apple seems to be losing touch with the small things that made them what they are -- Design and User oriented. CHANGE IT BACK----- PLEASE.

No, unfortunately it wasn't... I hate that we have to have multiple apps just to play music videos! But FYI, the MusicVideoPlayer app has been updated to support all iPhones and iPads running iOS 7+, though.

Sorry, but a separate music video app is not good enough.  We want the feature back in the old music player.  I listen to music in playlists that are a combination of videos and audio.  I want to see them in landscape mode just as they used to be.  That weird montage of album cover pages is useless - what is the point of that in landscape mode?

I do not want a separate music video app because that is the problem with the same thing in iPad.  You cannot have a playlist combining video and audio music.

I am scared to upgrade iOS now for feature of what next useful feature they'll remove without notice.  It's not like Apple actually give any details in a readme about upgrades is it?

Couldn't agree more, still useless in IOS  8, come on loose the album wall art in landscape or at lest add a toggle to opt out.  Music App Developers need to be replaced this issue is all over the web.  Nobody likes it, not to mention you can't view your individual album art in landscape.  Just bought the 6+ useless in landscape mode playing music and video.  In portrait mode all the rel estate is used up by white borders. Total Fail

Will the 8.4 music player restore music videos in landscape mode capable of being played in playlist or in shuffle mode for all songs?  Every review shows the iphone in portrait mode.
