Q: Has anyone been getting fraud emails because first i get one from my discover which i last used on apple.com a fews months ago saying there was unusual activity and then this morning apple sends me the same thing about my apple id?

Has anyone been getting fraud emails because first i get one from my discover which i last used on apple.com a fews months ago saying there was unusual activity and then this morning apple sends me the same thing about my apple id? Apple have you lost control of your security?

    Everybody gets them all the time. Get used to it. This has nothing to do with Apple or Apple security. These are scam phishing emails. They come through your email account.

    that may be the case for some people but i actually had called into discover and they told me about charges to Skype and western union which i didn't do and that card was used once since i had it and that was on apple.com. so is it coincidence two days later i get the same emails from apple.com.

    That means your charge account was hacked. You have become a victim of identity theft. The card was used at Apple to obtain access to your account information stored with Apple.

     

    Immediately contact all your credit card companies and cancel your current card. Have them issue you new cards with a different account number, etc. Change all you online passwords. Report the incidence to your local police. I would also talk with your bank(s) to assure those accounts are still secure and untouched.

    Oh, I forgot the easy one. Notify Apple - iTunes Store- What to do if your account has been compromised.
