Q: Why is Maps so inaccurate?

I am searching for a medical emergency center on Mac in my town but Maps gives me an unrelated result from a different state in another part of the country!

I have also attached a screenshot for your reference.

I have my Mac Mini wifi on even though I have a hardwired internet connection(ethernet cable). Wifi is what Mac OS uses to determine location.

I too have a n issue with accuracy of location. In my case when I look at the community of Bridgeport California the location given is several miles east of the town in what appears to be mountains. This has been the case since I first looked the town up via Maps a couple of years ago. I reported the problem when I first noticed it thinking that this would be corrected in the near future but nothing.

Hello Borris, I just checked-up & got same results as you.

Then entering "St. Joseph TX & I got this result:

You can also just type Collage Station TX, then 4401 Sh 6 S, this will locate the place too!

Send Apple feedback. They won't answer, but at least will know there is a problem. If enough people send feedback, it may get the problem solved sooner.

It can’t parse the search phrase you used.

If you need to search for St. Joseph Express in College Station, Tx, then use that phraseology.

Or, you can do two searches, first for the area (college station), and second for the specific location (st joseph express).

I didn’t have a problem using the phrase, “st joseph express in College Station, TX” or “aramark in huntsville, TX”

Thanks! So I got penalized for being specific. (There are multiple st joseph's in the BCS area).

Last week, I tried navigating to the same location using maps on my iPhone and it incorrectly navigated me to a location a mile north-east. See attached picture. Then I rerouted to the nearby chick-fila and was able to reach the express care.IMG_4137.PNG

The address is incorrect. Click on the pin on the Map and Report a Problem. It should be 4401 East Byp, not 4101.

Good catch. This is the address generated by Maps when I search for St. Joseph Expres College station.
