I am experiencing perhaps the same issue on early '11 Macbook Pro on 10.10.

Text forwarding is set up properly and I am having no problem sending or receiving non-iMessage SMS texts on MPB. But when I send text to a contact that would be iMessage, it instantly comes back "not delivered." I've restarted computer, logged in and out of iMessage/iCloud, and made sure all email accounts are checked in preferences.

iMessage/SMS are working as they should on iPhone 6. Call forwarding on MBP is working fine too...iMessages on MBP are only problem.

Did you ever find a solution to your problem?  I just started having the same problem with my iMac following Yosemite update.  iMessage works on my phone and laptop, but not iMac.

I am also experiencing the same problem, just after Yosemite Update. The problem persist with Yosemite 10.10.1

What is strange is that it is OK on my iMac,

but It is not OK on my MacBookPro 17'' early 2011

I tried reseting PRAM + boot in safe mode + reboot still it is not OK.

    ONLY iMessage are "Not Delivered"

Try creating a new user account on the same machine.  Log into that account, and see if the problem still persists.   If not, there is probably a corrupt file in the user library.

I solved this problem by deleting and recreating my user account.   There might be an easier solution, but I don't know what it is.

    Hello Blueno

Thanks, I am able to use iMessage under Guest account.

Therefore may be you are right > corrupted file in my user library.

I will try to find if it is possible to reset my iMessage account instead of recreating my whole user account.

This is what I did:  (taken from kazz_11's earlier post).

    1) Open Key Chain Access ( go to Applications>Utilities)

    2) Select Login at the top left side under Keychains

    3) Select All Items on the lower left side under Category

    4) Search for entries of IDS.

    5) Highlight and delete all entries that has IDS.

    6) Search for entries of FaceTime

    7) Highlight and delete all entries of FaceTime

    8) Search for entries of Messages

    9) Highlight and delete all entries of Messages

    10) Reboot!

I also found entries containing Message (singular, not plural), but didn't delete these.

    Hi, solved for me.

Problem was border firewall  IPV6 Protocol rules.

Solution 1.- Contact firewall administrator ask to open ports in IPV6

    Solution 2.- System->Network->(Current connected interface) ->Advanced ->TCP/IP- > IPV6 set to Only local link.

    Hope help some one else

I can confirm that blueno's solution works. Though it does not require a reboot.

You may be able to log out and back into of your iMessages account in settings accounts in iMessage then restart the program also.

    I did both.

After doing what blueno suggested I did have to reboot.  I then had to provide my password lots of times when I logged in.  That still didn't work so I logged out of my iCloud account in Message and logged back in, repaired, and it worked!

    This is what I did:

    1) Open Key Chain Access ( go to Applications>Utilities)

    2) Select Login at the top left side under Keychains

    3) Select All Items on the lower left side under Category

    4) Search for entries of IDS.

    5) Highlight and delete all entries that has IDS.

    6) Search for entries of FaceTime

    7) Highlight and delete all entries of FaceTime

    8) Search for entries of Messages (I also found entries containing Message (singular, not plural), but didn't delete these.)

    9) Highlight and delete all entries of Messages

    10) Reboot!

    11) Log back in and when requested log back into iCloud account (I got asked for the password multiple times)

    12) Log out of iCloud account in iMessage (Not sure if this is needed)

    13) Log back into iCloud account in iMessage.

    14) On iPhone in Settings/Messages/Text Message Forwarding turn off forwarding to my iMac.

    15) Turn Text Message Forwarding back on for my iMac (re-pairs and I entered the new number)

    16) Could send text messages from my iMac!!!!!
