Q: just upgraded my Cannon MP Navigator App for my multi-purpose printer/scanner not working correctlly

Ahhh, I was looking at the root. Looked for my library but couldn't find it. Didn't know it was hidden, but was able to locate it. Will check it out!

"The Canon australian site has an "Updated" mp navigator" --> This is MP Navigator EX.  I tried it, but it does not work with my scanner (MP800r).  It apparently works  only with the MG series.

I actually found this by accident on my new Mac after not being able to use my scanner in Yosemite. I can use my scanner in Preview. There is a tab in the file menu that invites you to import from scanner. If you follow those prompts, the scanner works fine.

Not here there isn't. "Import from scanner..." is greyed out. Maybe it works for some people, but why? @ksj6 which Canon do you have?

I have MP210, which is pretty old but works great. Came with an old Mac Book Pro and I've been using it ever since.

There is a new driver that fixes this problem . . you can get it from the Canon website:

I installed the new driver and the scanning software for my MX860 works properly with Yosemite.
