Oct 30, 2014 12:50 PM in response to Butterfly Jakby AmishCake,What is he taking the photo with, and how is he sending them?

Oct 30, 2014 1:45 PM in response to AmishCakeby Butterfly Jak,Photos are taken using the camera on the phone, in HDR auto mode, then clicking share in todays photos and selecting up to 5 at a time and sending via email and selecting small. It seems to be doing the same thing on my iphone 5s that is also on ios 8.1. I have actually managed to find another app that appears to work better, but still confused as to what has changed on the phone?

Oct 31, 2014 6:45 AM in response to Butterfly Jakby AmishCake,It may be because of "selecting small." Why not just do photo sharing via iCloud instead of emailing them?

Dec 3, 2014 7:21 AM in response to Butterfly Jakby kayleeb310,I was having the same issue. I figured it out though! Any photo edits that are emailed are renamed to the FullSizeRender.jpg. Unedited photos will be sent as img1056 or whatever number you are on. If you are clicked on the camera, the bottom right has three circles. If these are black and white circles it will send as the img. If they are rainbow circles it will sent as FullSizeRender (because it edits the photo). If you click on the circles and if you are clicked on any that are outside of the middle one (none), it will edit the photo. So to make it an img make sure it clicked on the None edit. I hope this makes sense!

Dec 10, 2014 1:32 PM in response to DAVEthepainterby AmishCake,I've just tried emailing myself a couple of photos from my photo app, and both arrived with the actual IMG name with the number after it. So I don't know if it's your email provider that's changing it or what. I used two different email "From" addresses and neither one changed it. Sorry, I don't know why this is happening to you.

Jan 28, 2015 3:16 PM in response to Butterfly Jakby keith1977,I've had a similar issue but it only seems to occur if I edit the photo from vertical to horizontal for viewing better and then when I save, it doesn't save as IMG_XXXX.JPG but FullSizeRender.jpg. If I don't do any edits, they email just fine on any size chosen.

Feb 14, 2015 10:49 AM in response to AmishCakeby tonyfirshman1,Editing and even size changing is *not* the issue. I select photos, and send full size via mail, and they are all called FullSizeRender.jpg.
This is especially awful when there is more than one photo in the same email. One has to 'Save as' for each one.
I can't recall exactly when it got like this, but certainly (prior to my current 8.1.3) it was fine at some stage.
